ColdSnapTM is a rapid freezing appliance that produces single servings of frozen confections and frozen beverages in less than 2 minutes from shelf-stable, ambient temperature, ColdSnapTM pods. Our mission is to transform the way that ice cream and other frozen confections are produced, transported, purchased & consumed. We are in testing phase with plans for a beta launch in Q3 of this year and full launch in 2022.

We are seeking a full-time Food Safety and Quality Assurance Specialist to join our growing team at our facility in Billerica, MA. This position will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and improving food safety and quality assurance processes while ensuring the company is in compliance with all applicable local, state and federal food laws through alignment with all auditing requirements. This position will be establishing our food safety program from the ground up with limited direction, so an organized self-starter with at least 7 years of experience in the field is essential to succeeding in this role.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

? Develop, implement, and oversee processes and records to evaluate food safety and quality assurance protocols. This includes HACCP system (GMPs, HACCP Plan, PRPs, etc.), regulatory audits, quality systems review process (QSR), standard operating procedures (SOP's), incoming ingredient inspections, food safety audits, product tracing and recalls, field complaints, standardized work instructions, etc.

? Ensure compliance to quality assurance / food safety requirements by achieving and maintaining all certifications at the facility and abiding by applicable local, state and federal food laws.

? Oversee plant compliance and interactions with regulatory body / process authority. ? Develop and manage shelf-life testing system for the determination and verification of product

safety and quality. ? Oversee monitoring, verification, and validation activities to ensure that all products leaving the

facility meet food safety and quality standards. ? Provide guidance and leadership in situations where deviations have occurred, or a potential

risk has been identified related to food safety and/or quality attributes. ? Actively participate on root cause analysis, corrective actions and preventive measures ? Reassess plans whenever there is a change to program, process, procedure, ingredient,

equipment, industry philosophy, technology, etc.

Qualifications:

? Bachelor's degree in Food Safety, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, or other science related field, Master's Degree preferred

? 7+ years of progressive food safety experience, with at least 2 years in a management capacity within a manufacturing environment under HACCP, USDA and/or FDA

? Demonstrated leadership in the areas of food safety, plant regulatory and quality assurance ? Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite ? One or more of the following certifications preferred: HACCP, PCQI, SQF Practitioner ? Ability to work in a team environment
