Directory of Services
This directory of services provides procedures for specimen collection and transport. It provides information on ordering and procuring laboratory tests available through the Guthrie Laboratories. The directory of services is available on the internet at and on Guthrie's Intranet.
Internal Epic Procedure Catalog / External Test Catalog
Individual test requirements are available in the Laboratory Procedure Catalog. The Laboratory Procedure Catalog is located on the Guthrie website (patient services>other services>laboratory services) and internally located electronically within the EPIC computer system. The electronic Laboratory Procedure Catalog provides the most up-to-date specimen collection requirements as test requirements change frequently. Contact Laboratory Client Services by calling toll free (844)617-4719 for tests that are not listed. Printed information is available upon request. Guthrie and its reference laboratories are constantly increasing their test menus and improving their services. The most significant changes are communicated by memo.

Guthrie Reference Laboratories
Tests not performed in the Guthrie laboratory system are sent to one of the following New York State accredited laboratories:

Quality Assurance
Guthrie Laboratories primary goal is to provide accurate patient test results. Guthrie's Quality Assurance (QA) program provides systematic monitoring and evaluation of the pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical testing process. Performance improvement indicators are monitored regularly. QA is incorporated into every department. Guthrie is accredited by the Joint Commission and conforms to stringent regulations required by CLIA, OSHA and CMS.
Confidentiality
Guthrie is committed to protecting the confidentiality of individuals' lab test results and other personal information in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. Anonymous testing is only available through the County Health Department. A complete list of health departments is available on the Guthrie Intranet or by calling the laboratory client services department.
