Tuesdays with Morrie Interview Assignment:

Tuesdays with Morrie Interview Assignment:

Directions: The Book Tuesdays with Morrie is a series of questions and answers with a reporter Mitch Albom and his old Professor Morrie. Your job is to interview someone older (at least your parents’ age, but not your parents) and ask them some of same questions Mitch asked Morrie. Start by asking them basic biographical information like: their name, how old they are, where they are from, where they live now, what kind of job they have or did have, and what is their family like. Then ask them some of the following questions: what they think about America (has our country changed since they were your age), questions about their faith, some of their biggest accomplishments in their life, some of their biggest regrets or things they might have done different, how do they what to be remembered when they are no longer here, their definition of a meaningful life, how had they made the world a better place, how can your generation make the world a better place, the role money plays in our society, and lastly what advice do they have for your generation.

When the interview is done you have two options to turn into me:

Option 1:

Write a 600-700 word paper, double spaced, typed, 12 type font, about Tuesdays with Morrie, and the person you interviewed. Write two paragraphs about the book. In those paragraphs write about how Mitch changed over the book and Morrie’s outlook on life and his illness. Then the rest of the paper write about the person you interviewed.

Option 2:

Create a power point with 12-15 slides about the book Tuesdays with Morrie, and the person you interviewed. Make the first 2-3slides about Morrie and Mitch. In those slides write about how Mitch changed over the book and Morrie’s outlook on life and his illness. Make the rest of the slides about the person you interviewed.

Assignment is due Friday, Sept 22, 2006. Turn into me the assignment (a hard copy and your interview notes.

Worth 200 points.

No late papers or power points will be accepted. If you are sick on that day you or your parents or guardians must email me or leave me a voice mail.
