SEUSS HOILDAY!left32258000499491024384000Holiday Tree OrnamentsBe the first to join in on what will become a Granby holiday tradition! Design and make an ornament from your 8th block class to hang on our holiday tree in the foyer. Step 1: email the SCA at granby.sca@ to let us know you plan on participating.Step 2: Submit your handmade ornament to 17B the week of 11/27. Make sure to include your class name and room number on the ornament so you can get credit for it.Ornament Guidelines:Each 8th block class can submit only one ornament. The theme of this year’s tree is A Dr. Seuss Holiday. We suggest interpreting that in a way to feature a specific idea or theme from your 8th block class, i.e. if you’re in a math class, there will some reference to mathematics on your ornament. The SCA prefers homemade ornaments rather than purchased ones, but the base of the ornament can be bought and supplemented with hand-crafted items. (80/20 rule – 80% of the ornament must be handcrafted)Please avoid glass ornaments in case the ornament falls off the tree. Also, do not use food or candy on your ornaments so that we don’t attract unwanted visitors. The ornament should be no larger than 6 inches in any dimension. Also, keep in mind that the ornament isn’t too heavy to hang on the tree. The finished ornament should be turned in with the maker’s identification clearly marked on it – either on the ornament itself or on a tag attached to it.574357533591500Ornaments will be returned after holiday break if the artist/maker wants it back.386651521717000We hope this will become an annual tradition.
