Having made the mistake of installing Quicken 2014 I thought I would find the answer to my issues in the "Official Guide."First of all the 2013 Quicken Guide contained 668 pages. The 2014 Guide only has 556 pages. I don't understand the loss of over 100 pages to cover the newest software

with apparent extra features as compared to 2013. And the retail price stayed the same at $25.00.I didn't like the index as many topics are NOT included. I find the explaination of difficult topics too brief and lacking in detail. I am having problems with the software and searching the text to solve a problem is not fruitful. Maybe I need the "Quicken 2014 guide that Quicken forgot to write?"If you have never used Quicken before and you need a guide to get started you will find this book helpful. As an experience user I expected more.

I compared this book to the usual "Dummies" book on this topic. Usually they are pretty good but this time I compared them in the store and this was actually better and more comprehensive. For example, this book had a nice piece on using Quicken using a smartphone app. "Dummies" makes no mention. I had the latest edition so maybe it will be in the next version, if there is one.All in all this is pretty good, especially for beginners with Quicken, less so for experienced hands. Need I say that I have "experienced hands"?

I am still reading through the book, and have learned several things I didn't know about Quicken. This was my purpose for getting the book. I have used Quicken for years but I always figured I wasn't taking full advantage of it's many powerful features. I have already adapted several new features that I didn't know about. Fine book. Very professional and easy to follow. I recommend it.

I have been using Quicken since 2006 and, while I have been satisfied, I never fully utilized the options. This book has clarified multiple questions that I had and even pointed me to functions I didn't even know were there.

In todays world not many Software Guides are as inexpensive and this one has all the information you need to install, setup and use Quicken. Reviewed a couple of books and this appeared to be the best and I'm glad I purchased this one.

I upgraded from Quicken 2012 and haven't had any problems, but I can't really tell much difference either. The book is very good, and helps me when I do something I haven't done in Quicken. You can read it cover to cover, but I go to sections I want to learn about. Well written and thorough.

I've been using Quicken for years -- simply as a register that tells me how I spent my money, not a planner, not as a summerizer for each "account", all because I hate trying to educate myself from a

tutorial on the screen. I'd rather have my teaching tool in book form so I can go back and forth to reenforce what I'm learning. Altho this edition is an ebook (I'd rather have a paper book) I do find with notes I'm making helpful in reenforcing the learning process. Maybe now I can make better use of a good tool.
