This "ACR Guide to Professional Practice of Clinical Medical Physics" revises and updates the previous document entitled "ACR Guide to Medical Physics Professional Practice." This revision was the work of many dedicated individuals under the auspices of the Education Committee of the ACR Commission on Medical Physics. In particular, I wish to thank the members of the ad hoc task force: James Goodwin, Per Halvorsen, Melissa Martin, Brent Parker, Anthony Seibert, Gerald White, Priscilla Butler and Wil Creech. In addition, the Chair of the Commission on Medical Physics, Richard Geise, is thanked for his guidance and assistance during revision. Each of the task force members brings many years of experience from many practice environments. I also wish to thank Jim Goodwin, Per Halvorsen, and Russell Tarver for providing a sample contracts used in creating the Appendix. We hope this is a useful tool for those involved in the practice of medical physics.
