Dosimetric Radioiodine Treatment of
Iodine-Avid Thyroid Cancer after rTSH

- Start the Low Iodine Diet Instructions for two weeks
- Continue Thyroid hormone
Week of Testing
On Monday ______________ you will receive an injection of recombinant TSH (Thyrogen ®) at ________________________.
On Tuesday _____________________you will receive a second injection at the same location. Do not eat or drink anything for four hours before your appointment.
- 10:00 AM - Report to the laboratory for a TSH and thyroglobulin blood tests, a complete blood count, and a stat pregnancy blood test (hCG), if indicated.
- 12:00 PM – Report to __________________________ to receive a test dose pill of radioactive iodine
- 2:00 PM - Return to ______________________ for a blood test and thyroid uptake measurement
