26. DOUBLE LEAF GATE
Lang+Fulton Double Leaf Gate: standard heights to match fence. Widths up to 10000mm with frame constructed from 50x30x3mm RHS with 100x50 RHS bottom rail (up to 1400mm high); 60x40x3mm RHS with 120x60 RHS bottom rail (up to 2500mm high); 80x80mm SHS with 160x80 RHS bottom rail (where height and width are greater than 2500mm and 6000mm respectively); grating panel, the same as the fence, welded or bolted within the frame. Where the leaf width is greater than 2000mm a centre vertical support should be welded into the frame and two panels of equal width supplied per leaf.
Gate Posts: 80x80x3mm SHS up to 1400mm height; 100x100x5mm up to 1800mm height and 120x120x5mm SHS for gates up to 2000mm high and 4000mm width. For greater heights and widths use 150x150x5mm or 200x200x6mm. All in accordance with the BS 1722-9 Table 4. Embedded length of post - minimum 500mm to 1000mm for 2400mm height and 10000mm opening.
