Raytheon Advanced Products Center Receives 2011 AME Manufacturing Excellence Award

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill.—October 26, 2011—The Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) is pleased to announce Raytheon’s Advanced Products Center (APC), part of the Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) business, as a 2011 recipient of its Manufacturing Excellence Award.

Raytheon’s SAS business, with more than 12,000 employees and a 2010 posted revenue of $4.8 billion, is a leading provider of sensor systems giving military forces the most accurate, timely and actionable information available for the network-centric battlefield. Raytheon’s APC, a leader in radio frequency/microwave technology design, development and manufacturing, is chartered to provide strategic enabling technologies in support of Raytheon's critical missile, radar, electronic warfare and communications businesses.

Located in Dallas, Texas, APC is one of seven companies to receive the award, which signifies high levels of excellence achieved and sustained throughout the past year. All award recipients recognized by AME maintain global competitiveness and continually position their organizations as leaders.
