Many students feel that because they are free to work at their own pace and at their own convenience that online classes will be easier for them to complete. This may be true, but you must also consider other demands on your time such as family, job, and the difficulty of focusing on your studies in a non-traditional learning environment. Proper time management is crucial to your success. Be prepared to spend 10 – 12 hours per week, depending on your computer and reading skills, on course learning materials. By State of Nevada Law a student must meet an attendance requirement of 45 hours to successfully complete this course. If a student does not meet this attendance requirement by logging into the course at least two times per week and completing the weekly assignments and exercises they may receive a grade of “F.” Plan your time wisely as computers and computer systems often have their own special issues and can go down when you least expect it.
