Reasons Why School Dress Codes Are Great Sometimes I dread graduating from high school just because I won't have to wear a uniform anymore. It's so wonderful to me because everything else I wear is either "too short" or "too bright." In my opinion, school uniform relieves pressure and reduces unnecessary creativity and freedom of choice. There are already too many rules at school other than uniforms. I have to do my homework, arrive on time, and read books. I have formal clothes to wear for my studies and casual clothes for my free time. I don't care that my parents have to spend additional money on the uniform. Besides, school years are the best time to rebel, and you have way fewer opportunities to do that wearing a uniform. You can wear accessories, but nobody will notice them. So, you don't need to have a good taste if you just have to follow the rules. I believe that we need to make students obedient, which can be achieved by forcing them to wear a school uniform. After all, sometimes we all need to conform and follow the rules we don't want to follow. People become more obedient and easy to misguide because they are used to conformity from an early age. I want to say that school uniform is useful to millions of students, including me. There must be some research showing that we become more intelligent and can study more productively wearing uniforms. That's why there's no need to fight for our rights for freedom of self-expression using clothes.
