FindingtheFordservicepart(assembly)numberusedtoreplaceanoriginalenginebeginswithretrievingtheproductionenginepartnumberfrom thecalibrationlabellocatedontheoilreservoir(94-95MY)orontheleftvalvecover(96MYto2003(7.3L)).Thecalibrationlabelislocatedon theFuelInjectionControlModule(FICM)for6.0Lengines2003tocurrent.Theproductionenginepartnumberortagnumberisthelarge7-digit numberatthetopcenterofthelabel.Recordthesevendigitproductionenginepartnumber.

RefertotheEngineIDNumberCrossReferenceSection(beginningonpage55ofthismanual)andlocatethe5G001AAproductionengine partnumber.ThecorrectreplacementservicepartnumberwillbethecolumnlabeledFordNumber.Allremanufacturedreplacementengines, componentsandpartsaregroupedintrimlevelsinthissection.Inthe5G001AAexample,ifyouchosetoreplacethecompleterunningengine assembly(6007)youwouldselectFordServicePartNumberF4TZ-6V007-FARM.
