PERFORMANCE MATTERS TRAINING

Training for teachers who will create and administer tests using Performance Matters. Preference will be given to those teachers

of SOL-tested subjects in grades 3-11 who were unable to attend the October 14 training.

Please note that English textbook training (Wonders) has been scheduled for November 5, 2019; therefore, English teachers who are unable to

attend the session on October 14 will need to attend the November 4 Performance Matters training, and substitutes will be needed to cover their

classes.

Ace/Trauma Informed Care

in the Classroom

Participants will be able to define trauma and identify the most common ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) as well as the impact that trauma has on the brain the link between trauma and learning. Participants will also become familiar with skills for empathy, perspective taking, staying out of judgment and listening to emotion without trying to fix it.
