Please note that this is my entire list of scholarships - Killeen ISD

[Pages:183]Scholarship List 2017-2018

Deadline date verified

Please note that this is my entire list of scholarships (over 170 pages so save it but don't print it). Pages 2-5 list reoccurring scholarships that you can

enter monthly or quarterly. They are mostly drawings rather than merit based and therefore harder to win. Starting on page 6, the scholarships are

listed in order of deadlines (August ? August). You will need to scroll down to the current month to access the available scholarships, but you can

also look ahead for what is coming in the next few months or see what scholarships you missed but might be able to apply next year. Please note

that most scholarships that are due in the fall are national scholarships and very competitive. February, March and April are when most LOCAL

scholarships are due and have less competition. Organization is key when applying for scholarships.

Here is how to read my list:

Column 1

Scholarship name with link to website

Sponsor's name

Date added/updated

Column 2

Deadline date (if highlighted in green it has been verified for this year)

Always double check the deadline on the website because sometimes they make changes.

Also, confirm whether it must be POSTMARKED (the day you take it to the Post Office) or RECEIVED by the deadline date.

Column 3

Award amount

Column 4

Eligibility requirements such as age, grade level, GPA... (if you don't meet these, don't apply)

Column 5

Application requirements (what you have to do to apply)

Remember that I recommend you create a professional sounding email that you use specifically for scholarships as applying to these type of scholarships result in lots of emails (some useful, some not so much).

Now, start applying! If you have questions or want me to review your applications/essays, just let me know. I am here to help YOU!

Respectfully,

Karen Denney College & Career Readiness Coordinator
