Interested in learning about National Match competition with U.S. military issue rifles? Don’t have a U.S. military issue rifle, use ours!

ASC will furnish (your choice): Service Grade M1 Garands

Match Grade AR-15’s

M1 Carbines for Juniors

45 Rounds of Ammunition

1.5 Hours of Classroom Instruction

1.5 Hours of Range Time

ASC, in conjunction with the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP), will conduct National Match Course Clinics on the following Sundays, rain or shine:

SUNDAY, APRIL 25

SUNDAY, JUNE 27

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 26

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 24

Donation* to defray costs is $65 (any rifle), $45 (Juniors with Carbine, age 20 and younger), $45 if you use your own US Military type rifle and ammo, $55 for active and reserve military (any rifle.) (*Donation does not include web fee)

• Reservations must be made for a specific rifle type and a specific date or dates.

• The entire clinic - classroom and range time - lasts approximately 4 hours. To register for any or all dates up to the day before the clinic, REGISTER AT OUR EVENT WEBSITE AT AURORASCASS. Standby shooters can normally be accommodated on clinic day.

• Ear and eye protection is mandatory and can be supplied at the event.

• Proper shooting clothing, such as long-sleeve shirt, long pants and elbow pads are strongly recommended.

• For those Illinois residents who do not have a current FOID card, the Club will provide a certified Instructor for one-on-one supervision.

• Participation in a CMP Clinic fulfills one of the requirements to purchase surplus military rifles from the Civilian Marksmanship Program. Check our website at (click on CMP). The CMP website is

LOCATION! – We are located SW of Waterman, IL, about 60 miles due west of Chicago and about 30 minutes west of our old location. We are south of Dekalb.

Best way to find us: go west on Rte 30 thru the 4-way stop sign at Rte 23. Continue west 2.7 miles on Rte 30 thru Waterman, then turn left onto Leland Rd (Ho-Ka Turkey Farm sign). Go ½ mile, then turn left onto Preserve Rd (a gravel road). Go ½ mile to second farmhouse on right, with turquoise outbuildings. 7858 Preserve Road, Waterman, IL 60556. If lost, call 815-264-9000.

NOTE: REGISTRATION AND CLASSROOM IS HELD AT THE CLINTON TOWNSHIP COMMUNITY CENTER, 160 W. LINCOLN HWY (Rte 30) JUST WEST OF THE TRAFFIC LIGHT AT Rte 30 AND ELM STREET ON THE NORTH SIDE.
