DIVIDENDS AND DISTRIBUTIONS - FORM 1099-DIV

MY

ACCOUNT

The amounts reported reflect dividends and other distributions credited to the account for the tax year. As reflected on

the Form 1099-DIV on the summary page, these amounts are reported to the IRS in aggregate. The transaction details are

provided on the Details for Dividends and Distributions for your reference.

?

Reinvested dividends are reported on the 1099-DIV as if a cash dividend had been credited to the account.

?

Mutual Funds and other securities may reclassify dividend payments after the payment to the account. If the information is

available, these payments will be reclassified to the new income treatment. If this occurs after the issuance of the original

1099DIV, an amended 1099 will be issued to the client and also reported to the IRS.

?

Cross-year reporting of dividends can occur for mutual funds and unit investment trusts that pay dividends in January but

have a record date in the previous year. These ¡°spillover¡± dividends will be reported for the previous tax year, not the year

actually paid.

?

State Tax Exempt Income - Certain income from mutual funds may be exempt from state and local taxes. If available, this

information may be provided to the client on the statement. If it is not available at the time of statement production, you may

need to contact the mutual fund directly for this information.
