Marginal, Joint, and Conditional Frequency Tables Activity

Marginal, Joint, and Conditional Frequency Tables Activity

Students will get with a partner and come up with a survey question that has 2-3 possible responses. Some examples are at the end of the activity; possible answer choices are included. Students will then create a Two Way Frequency Table, a Two Way Relative Frequency Table, a Two-Way Relative Frequency by Row Table, and a Two-Way Relative Frequency by Column Table. Students will also create a Segmented Bar Graph with the information from one of the two-way relative frequency tables. Students will put all tables and the graph on a large piece of construction paper. Tables will be graded for accuracy.
