The following steps instruct on the proper positioning and setup of the Sprint Magic Box Silver unit for optimal service.Please refer to the included Quick Start Guild to find the best location and how to install the Sprint Magic Box Silver. Please download the “Sprint Setup Assistance” app from the App/play store on your mobile device or tablet to gain device statusUnpacking and Check Package ContentsCarefully unpack the Sprint Magic Box Silver unit from the box.Inspect the unit for any damage and check that all accessories are in the box.Package will include following items:1 x Magic Box Silver Device1 x 12/2.5 AC/DC Power Supply AdapterNote: If any of the above items are damaged or missing, please contact your dealer immediately.Front Panel Magic Box Silver has 5 LED indicators and 1 Info Button. Figure 1 below describes the definition of each of Magic Box Silver LED and Info Button. The device turns on automatically when power supply adapter is connected to back side of the unit and plugged in. Please follow below step-by-step procedure to Positing Unit: Place the unit. within reach of electrical outlet and near windows or clear view of the sky.Figure = 1 \* Arabic 1: Sprint Magic Box Silver placed closed to windowPower Up: Carefully remove the Power Supply Adapter from its package and place aside.Turn the unit to show the back of the units as shown below.Plug the power supply cable into DC port on the backFigure 2: Sprint Magic Box Silver- BackInstall: The lights will blink as the device begins to install serviceMagic Box Silver will turn on Power LED in solid green after you connect it with Power Supply. Figure 3: Sprint Magic Box Silver- power on LED statusActivate: The Service and LTE light will stop blinking and will turn solid green when service is activated. This may take 7 to 10 minutes.Figure 4: Sprint Magic Box Silver- LTE activated LED statusSuccessful Setup: When both the Service and LTE light are solid green, the Magic Box is successfully setup and activated for use.Notices : 1. The device will take around 10 minutes to finish the installation. If there is a red LED shown on Front panel, please follow the “Info Button LED Status” section to do the quick troubleshooting. If the problem is still there, go to the troubleshooting section to do troubleshooting by yourself. If the problem is still there, please feedback the associated error information to Sprint Care team.2. There is an associated APP that would help you to fetch more information about the device and help you to do troubleshooting. You can get detail information in “Companion APP installation Chapter”Info Button LED StatusWhen there is an issue related to LTE connection, Backhaul connection or GPS status then the Info LED will be blinking in RED every 1 second. Users can check to display special info status by pressing the Info button, then one or more LED will blink for about 60 seconds to indicate some related issue element has occurred. Please choose “SOHO” device.Terms & ConditionsAfter selecting device, Terms & Conditions screen will be appeared. Please scroll down the screen to read Terms and conditions, You can accept Terms & Conditions when Accept button is Enabled after you read and scroll down the screen.Device SearchOn accepting terms and conditions, App will search for SOHO device and will show all SOHO devices present in that particular location.Device ConnectOn selection of available device, App will fetch information from device and will ask Passkey for further connection. (Default passkey is 000000)Device Paired and Setup (Cancel and Install)On successful device pairing, user will be provided with option to continue or cancel setup. Installation ProcessDevice Installation process will start with a progress bar showing status of progress to user. If something goes wrong during installation process, error screen will be shown. Once setup is complete user can continue to use app.Dashboard and Side MenuAfter Installation is completed, user will land to Dashboard. UnpairMy DeviceThis link will show user about details of device with option to return back to dashboard.Device StatusDevice status will have 3 parameters LTE details, Sprint Network Details and GPS details. While app will fetch information user can expect few seconds delay with a loading screen.LTE StatusLTE status will have parameters like Status, PCI, EnBid, EARFCN and Active Users.Sprint Network StatusSprint Network status will have parameters like Status, RSRP, SINR, EARFCN, Band, PCI, EnBID, RSRQ, TA and Signal Strength. GPS StatusGPS status will have parameters like Status, GPS SNR, Sync source and No. of satellites. While loading information if somehow app is not able to fetch information error screen will appear with error message. Also retry button would be available for fetching information.Health StatusApp will have option to check health status with parameters like Status and Error code. Error Code will be displayed to give more user information about health status. Signal TestPurpose of Signal test is to give user liberty to check signal strength around different areas. Before heading to radio test user will asked to switch to Sprint Network (if Sprint Network not found). On continue it will show status of signal strength (Excellent, Good, Poor).Speed TestTo perform speed test user will be redirected to third party app (Ookla). Screen will appear where user will be given instructions to proceed further. User could download/ open (if already installed) app or could visit webpage..Menu ItemsTo perform speed test user will be redirected to third party app (Ookla). Screen will appear where user will be given instructions to proceed further. User could download/ open (if already installed) app or could visit webpage.About AppAbout App option will be available in side menu. On clicking About App, Information about app will be shown like Version, Terms of use, Privacy and cookies.Terms of use and Privacy and cookies will redirect user to Sprint web page..TroubleshootingPower OffIf you want to turn off Magic Box Silver unit, please plug off power cable from DC port. Restart If you want to restart the unit press “Restart”, please find pin hole at bottom of Magic Box Silver unit, use a pen to touch the button and hold it for 5~10 seconds with power adapter is securely connected with unit,. Magic Box Silver unit will restart. Restart option is also available “Sprint Setup Assistance” APP. In” My Magicbox” screen, tapping restart, popup window will be appeared with options to proceed or cancel. If user select PROCEED then app will auto connect with Device after 4 to 5 minutes.Factory Data ResetIf you want to repeat the installation of the device (e.g. to change the window where the device is installed) and reset the device configuration, please find pin hole at bottom of Magic Box Silver unit, use a pen to touch the button and hold it for 10~15 seconds. Magic Box Silver unit will reset to factory default setting. Factory Data Reset option is also available “Sprint Setup Assistance” APP. In” My Magicbox” screen, tapping “Factory Data Reset”, popup window will be appeared with options to proceed or cancel. If user select PROCEED then app will auto connect with Device after 10 to 15 minutes.Note: To prevent it being pressed accidentally the Reset button is accessible only by a pin orsimilar thin object.Error CodesIf you meet installation error while using “Sprint Setup Assistance” APP, you can get detail error description and related action in below table “Table-1” .You can also share error code with Sprint Care team for them help on troubleshooting.
