Cloth face coverings are not PPE, but are an important strategy when used correctly to prevent spread of infection. Instructions for the use and care of cloth face coverings is included in the attachment section below.DSHS has made a one-time purchase of PPE and will also be distributing PPE to IPs and AFHs.WHAT’S NEW, CHANGED, OR CLARIFIED:Beginning in late June, ALTSA and DDA will fulfill PPE orders. Orders will be fulfilled with sufficient PPE for 31 days of care delivery. The specific PPE items in the order will be determined through the screening process. After the first full month of distribution we will assess whether additional requests for PPE kits can be requested.ALTSA will provide training for staff designated as points of contact for a one time request of PPE by IPs and AFHs. Designated staff will screen requests by IPs and AFHs to determine what type of PPE kit will be supplied. Differences in PPE kits are based on client CoVid status. Designated staff will place orders on behalf of IPs and AFHs. The designated points of contact are listed in the Excel document below. Similar information as is listed below will be collected to determine the supply of PPE.DDA has a single point of contact for PPE provided in the Excel attachment below. DDA Case Resource Managers who receive requests for PPE from IPs should make a request to the dedicated email address for the point of contact with the following information:Name of providerCurrent addressCurrent phone number and email address (if applicable)Whether the provider is working with a client who has been confirmed positive for COVID-19 or who is suspected to have COVID-19Number of clients the IP is authorized to provide services forWhether a provider has placed an order for PPE through DSHS previouslyDDA Case Resource Managers who receive requests for PPE from AFHs should direct the AFH to the dedicated email address or phone number and to include the same information as above.ACTION:AAA and HCS points of contact should attend training on one of the following days:9 June 2020 @ 1:30 to 3:00- Skype10 June 2020 @ 1:30 to 3:00- Skype11 June 2020 @ 1:30 to 3:00- Skype Contact Dawn Williams or Hannah Thompson (info below) to receive a Skype invitation.IPs and AFH staff can contact a representative in the attached list for their location. That representative will screen the request and place an order on behalf of the IP/AFH. The PPE will be shipped directly to the IP or AFH.
