Install Merge PACS and Uninstall Sectra PACS:

Install Merge PACS (install before 08/21/2011).

1. Open up your web browser and in the Address Bar type in .

2. Now you can either make a shortcut to your desktop or your favorites.

3. In the home page you will see an Install button. Click on Install. [pic]

4. Once you click on install, PACS will begin installing.

5. Once completed PACS will launch for you.

6. For non-clinical IT personnel: Test logging into PACS by using login of username: PACS / password: PACS. You should see the realtime worklist named Install Test pop up.

7. Accessing Merge Reach (Phycician Image Results Panel). Open up your web browser and in the Address Bar type in

8. Drag and drop the icon in the address bar of the reach portal into C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop. This will allow all users access to reach.

Please Note:

If you do not have admin rights the PACS Installer will install it to your home directory. If you have admin rights it will install the application to C:\Program Files\AMICAS. Also, if you have a previous version of AMICAS and you do not have admin rights it will update the application that’s installed on your home directory and not the one that’s installed in Program Files. The application that’s installed in the C:\Program Files will only get updated if an admin does the install/upgrade. Also if there are multiple users on a PC, each user will have to complete the install process unless the program is installed by an administrator.

Home Directories:

For Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data

For Windows 7: C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\AMICAS\

Uninstall Sectra PACS (should not be done until 08/21/2011):

Windows 7:

1. Click on the Windows icon on the taskbar at the bottom left hand of the screen. [pic]

2. Next click on Control Panel.

3. Click on Programs and Features.

4. Click on IDS5web in the list of applications and click Uninstall in the toolbar. [pic]

5. At the next prompt click OK.

6. Next remove PACS Gateway folder from your desktop.

Windows XP:

1. Click on the Start button on the lower left part of the screen.

2. Next click on Settings and then click on Control Panel.

3. Double click on Add/Remove Programs.

4. Highlight IDS5web and click Remove. [pic]

5. You will get a prompt asking you if you really want to uninstall it. Click Yes.

6. Delete the PACS Gateway shortcut on your desktop.
