January 2020
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great holiday season as now we are kicking off 2020 full steam. As many of you know, City Council approved the addition of 15 new positions! Those positions will directly impact the large workload we have with plan review and inspections and will help staff meet deadlines and keep our customers happy and moving forward. We had a great end to 2019. Thank you to the ERC Committee for their work on the Winter Event and a big congratulations to the winners and nominees of the Trendsetter and Foundation Awards. These are important recognitions that come from your peers and your managers and they really show the team spirit of PDD Staff. We again had a big CSFD year, exceeding our goal once again. I am always amazed by the work our staff puts into this event and am proud of our accomplishments. Thank you to Jazmine Braswell and Angie Holdsworth for co-chairing this year. We are taking major strides in the ShapePHX project . Thank you to staff who are meeting milestones and the staff who will advocate for the changes we will see in the near future. Have a great start to the year and my door is always open. Alan Stephenson Director PDD
