Follow Route 8 South to I 76/77. Take I 76 West/I 77 North. Take Exit 22A (South Main Street, and Downtown). Keep right and follow the sign for Broadway Street towards downtown. Once on Broadway Street, stay in the right lane. Continue straight on Broadway Street. You will pass the Opportunity Parking Garage (the old parking deck on the left), and you will cross several streets: Selle St, E. Cedar St., E. Exchange St., E. Buchtel Ave, E. State St. and University Ave. Once you cross University Avenue you will see a building with a connecting bridge to a parking deck. The building (on the left) is the OCASEK Building, the parking deck (Akron Health Dept. Parking Deck) is on your right. You may park inside the Akron Health Dept. Parking Deck, or at any parking deck available.

The second traffic light will be Broadway Street. Turn left onto Broadway Street. Once on Broadway Street, stay in the right lane. Continue straight on Broadway Street. South of Akron Taking I-77

Follow I 77 North to the interchange where I 77 will combine with I 76. Take I 77 North/I 76 West. Take Exit 22A (South Main Street and Downtown). Getting back to the highway from the OCASEK building Taking Interstate 76 or 77

If you are trying to get back to Interstate 76 or 77, take High Street (one-way, it runs East). You will eventually see the entrance ramps for both Interstate. The first entrance ramp will take you 76 West or 77 North, the second entrance ramp will take you 76 East or 77 South. You will need to follow the sign once you're on the highway to determine if you want 76 or 77.

Taking Route 8 North

Take Broadway Street (going West) away from Downtown Akron. You will cross a long bridge. Once you've crossed the bridge get into the right lane. You will make a right onto Tallmadge Avenue. Once on Tallmadge continue straight and you will eventually encounter the entrance ramp for Route 8.

Parking

Parking tokens will no longer be available at this location. All visitors will need to pay for their own parking. For those who have a state issued handicapped parking permit, please contact the center at (330) 252-6661for more information.

Once inside the Ocasek Building... You will be required to sign in and out at the security desk! Please bring photo identification with you. The Akron Regional Training Center is located on the 4th floor of the OCASEK Building. Sign-in sheets will be available in the training labs, and you will be required to sign-in upon arrival.
