Bulletin Board / Hallway Showcases / Instructional Displays

Bulletin boards and hall displays are a vital and integral part of the atmosphere in a school building. They give us the opportunity to recognize the excellent work of our students and demonstrate to them that work which is completed carefully and proficiently is something to be proud of. It gives students a sense of pride to see their work displayed in the halls and it also shows parents that many fine things are going on in our school.

A bulletin board should reflect work that is relevant to what has been taught in the classroom. It could also be something that you feel students should acquire or it may be something that is a reminder of specific holidays.

Word Walls, and student goals should also be part of the classroom displays, which can be used interactively by students.

Displays should be appealing to the eye and as professional looking as possible. When torn and faded, please remove or replace.

A few basic hints for good displays:

✓ Mount student’s work.

✓ Tape should not be seen.

✓ Papers should be corrected and only final copies should be displayed.
