Lesson Three

I. Review locations of job site links on the web site.

a. Review and demonstrate cut and paste resume as well as upload resume.

ii. Point students to instructions found on Monster for resume posting

iii. Create new accounts for students while demonstrating an account creation for MTI Jones or other invented person

b. Review and demonstrate cut and paste resume as well as upload resume.

i. Show Career Builder advice sections

ii. Show students resume posting instructions

iii. Create new accounts for students using Career builder tools and create a new account for invented person.

c. Demonstrate job search at

i. Explain job search tips such as how to use keywords

ii. Show how to use radius setting

iii. Demonstrate use of old searches to repeat similar information.

iv. Demonstrate job application from a site found through

d. Demonstrate job search at

i. Show resume posting area

ii. Show different areas of job categories

iii. Demonstrate how to search other areas of the country or New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, etc.

iv. Demonstrate job application on craigslist through pasting email and attaching resume and cover letter.

e. Demonstrate wide variety of job links posted on QUIA such as University, Government, Medical centers, diversity, etc.

II. Interview students with guest speaker

a. Begin by allowing ten minutes of interview practice in the groups formed during lesson three or at teacher’s discretion.

b. Give sample interview with Aaron or the instructor for that class and critique.

c. Ask for volunteers for interviews with guest speaker and critique each student.
