We do not include expired courses when calculating points for classes.

The following courses are the only courses that expire:

BIO 165 & BIO 166 is 5 years (BIO 163 serves as a refresher if one or both are expired)

CIS 110 expires after 7 years

BIO 165 and BIO 166 should be completed at the same college.

We do not use cumulative GPAs for admissions for our nursing programs. The RichmondCC Nursing

Admissions calculates a GPA based on required courses. The required courses are the courses in Box 1

on the first page of this document. We will not consider Spring 2022 or Summer 2022 classes in this

calculation. If a student has not completed 10 credit hours of college required courses by January 31,

2022, then the admissions committee will consider their High School or GED unweighted GPA or if they

have completed a college degree from a regional accredited school, then a cumulative GPA from that

degree can be used.

Nursing Applicants who have completed BIO 165 & BIO 166 equivalents on a 10-point grading scale must

make a B or higher beginning Fall Semester 2018. If a student completed these courses with a 7-point

grading scale and had a grade of C this is acceptable for graduation. However, no points will be given in

Box 1 for Cs in any course. All transfer courses will be assumed to be taken under a 10-point grading

scale unless the student provides information to the Admissions Counselor indicating a 7-point grading

scale.
