PURPOSE
This live, educational program will focus on recent advancements in the fields of pulmonology, critical care, and sleep medicine. This course will provide indepth presentations examining a breadth of commonly encountered medical conditions with emphasis on prevention and new treatment alternatives.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
The goal is to help the healthcare professional with assessment, selection of treatment, and practical application in pulmonology, critical care, and sleep medicine. Topics covered at the conference include: pulmonary hypertension, sarcoidosis, sleep disordered breathing, central apnea, sleep disturbances in common medical disorders, safe place designation of acutely ill patients, severe sepsis, ICU acquired infections, Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), and advances in diagnostic interventional pulmonary.
At the conclusion of the conference, the attendee will:
? Have an improved knowledge base and be able to discuss the clinical aspects of the disorders presented in the meeting in order to improve the quality of care provided to patients.
? Interact and question speakers on a variety of clinical scenarios.
? Identify health issues related to topics covered which impact patients.

Pulmonologists, critical care physicians, sleep medicine physicians, internists, family practitioners, nurses, respiratory therapists, fellows, residents, medical students, and other healthcare professionals.
