Student Right-to-Know Information on Graduation, Transfer-out, and Retention Rates
The following information is provided in compliance with federal regulations. The rates below reflect the
graduation and transfer-out status of students who enrolled in 2016 and were tracked for three years.
During the fall semester of 2017, 1,582 first-time, full-time certificate or degree-seeking students entered
Moraine Valley Community College. After three years (as of August 31, 2020):

39.5% had graduated from Moraine Valley
¡́
22.9% had transferred to another college without completing a degree
¡́
10.6% were still enrolled at Moraine Valley
Graduation rates are also reported for students receiving athletically-related student aid. During the fall
semester of 2017, 25 first-time, full-time athletes entered the college. After three years:

56.0% had graduated from Moraine Valley
¡́
16.0% had transferred to another college without completing a degree
¡́
4.0% were still enrolled at Moraine Valley
While reviewing this information, please be aware that graduation rates are affected by a number of factors. Some
students leave because their career goals changed and some leave when they get a job. Some may leave because of
academic deficiencies. Some students begin full-time but are unable to continue attending full-time and thus need more
than three years to graduate.
Using the fall semester of 2017, 421 first-time, part-time, certificate or degree-seeking entered Moraine Valley
Community College. After three years:

14.9% had graduated from Moraine Valley
¡́
19.5% had transferred to another college without completing a degree
¡́
12.4% were still enrolled at Moraine Valley
