Access to research and practice guidance

Mentoring support, CPD guidance and career progression opportunities

Support from Walsall Children's Services leaders and managers for challenging situations

Provide their ideas and feedback to the Leadership Team and to help shape the ongoing development of Walsall Children's Services

To demonstrate capabilities as set out in the relevant level of the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF)1, as set by The Social Work Task Force. Make a commitment to effectively work in teams, work with other professionals, partners and learning with and from colleagues

Develop, use and embed evidence informed practice

Demonstrate effective communication skills and establish effective relationships through practice measured by the best outcomes for children, young people and families

Engage in personal and continuing professional development opportunities to maintain professional registration and in line with the needs of Walsall Children's Services Adapt approaches and styles to add creativity, interest and enjoyment to meet the needs children, young people and families Promote a positive image of Walsall Children's Services and the social work role through their professionalism and commitment to achieve the best outcomes for children, young people and their families Follow the code of conduct, applying professional standards, including dressing appropriately and professionally Support the decisions of Children's Specialist Services Leadership Team for the good of the children, young people and their families
