(1984-2000) of the series featured six games decided by six points or fewer, including one tie; only three games were decided by 17 or more points. In contrast, the last 22 games (2001-2022) of the series have featured 16 games decided by 14 points or more; during that span, the average margin of victory is 19.86 points per game.

IN NOVEMBER >> Auburn is 246-192-20 (.559) all-time in November. Auburn's November home record is 107-40-5 (.721). Away from Auburn, the Tigers are 140-151-15 (.482).

Auburn is 11-4 in games played on November 11 all-time; the Tigers are 6-3 against SEC opponents and 5-2 in games played away from Auburn on that date.

ON OFFENSE >> Auburn is third in the SEC averaging 190.9 rushing yards per game and is fifth in the league with 17 rushing touchdowns this season. Six different Tigers have scored a rushing touchdown this year.

Jarquez Hunter led the ground game against Mississippi State, gaining 144 yards on 17 carries, and followed up with a career-high 183 yards on 19 carries at Vanderbilt, scoring twice.

Auburn gained 219 yards on the ground against Georgia, the most against the Bulldogs since 2018, led by 92 yards from quarterback Payton Thorne.

Against Samford, the Tigers gained 222 ground yards, led by 123 from Thorne.

Auburn rushed for 289 yards on 44 carries in the season opener vs. UMass, scoring six touchdowns via the ground game.

>> Quarterback Payton Thorne passed for 282 yards (24-32) with a score and rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns in the win over Samford, a career rushing high for the transfer, and the first Auburn QB to rush for 100 yards and pass for 200 in a game since Nick Marshall vs. Mississippi State in 2014.

Thorne was 10-17 passing versus UMass for 141 yards, including a 29-yard touchdown pass to Jay Fair.

He added a 13-yard touchdown pass to Fair and the 5-yard gamewinner to Rivaldo Fairweather in the win at Cal. Thorne had another TD pass to Fairweather vs. Ole Miss.

Thorne rushed for 92 yards against Georgia, including a career-long gain of 61 yards that was the longest run by an Auburn QB since Malik Willis in 2017.

Thorne's three TD passes vs. Mississippi State were the most by an Auburn QB in a SEC game since Bo Nix vs. LSU in 2020, and his 76.9 completion percentage (20-26) was the best by an Auburn QB in any game since Nix was 21-26 at Arkansas in 2021.

Thorne, a transfer from Michigan State, threw for 6,494 yards (223.9 per game) in three seasons with the Spartans.

He was 524-860 (.609) in 29 career games, 26 of those as the starter. He ranked among MSU's career leaders in passing touchowns (fourth with 49), completion percentage (fifth at .609), passing yards (sixth with 6,494), pass completions (sixth with 524), pass attempts (sixth with 860) and passing efficiency (eighth with 137.6 rating).

Thorne posted five career games with 300-plus yards passing and threw multiple TD passes in 13 games.

>> Quarterback Robby Ashford scored three rushing touchdowns for the first time in his career versus UMass. The last Auburn QB with three rushing TD in a game was Cam Newton (vs. Arkansas in 2010); Newton shares the record for Auburn QBs with four rushing TD against Kentucky in 2010 (also Phil Gargis, 4 vs. Florida State in 1976). The last Auburn player with three rushing TD in a game was Jarquez Hunter vs. Mercer in 2022.

Ashford has scored multiple rushing touchdowns four times in his career; with a score against Georgia, he now has 12 rushing TD (eighth among all-time Auburn QBs) and 895 rushing yards in his Auburn career.

Scoring > Receiver Ja'Varrius Johnson, who now has 57 career receptions for 917 yards, led Auburn with 117 yards on four receptions in the Tigers' 2022 season-opening win over Mercer. It was Johnson's second career 100-yard receiving game (107 yards vs. Mississippi State in 2021).

Ten of Johnson's 57 career catches have gone for at least 30 yards; he averages 16.1 yards per catch for his career.

>> Gunner Britton was honored as the SEC offensive lineman of the week for his play against UMass. The senior transfer started at left guard and played three different positions up front as the Tigers rushed for 289 yards (6.6 yds/carry) in the opener.

Britton again earned SEC honors against Mississippi State, helping the Tigers gain 419 yards without giving up a sack and allowing only one QB hurry.

>> Conner Lew was the SEC freshman of the week against Mississippi State, playing every snap in his first career start at center.

FOR THE DEFENSE >> Eugene Asante has led Auburn in tackles in five games this season: against UMass with six stops; 12 tackles, a sack, 1.5 TFL, 2 QB hurries and a pass breakup at California, earning SEC defensive player of the week honors; at Texas A&M (9 tackles) and LSU (12 tackles, sack) and against MississippiState (10 tackles, 2 QB hurries, TFL).

He was the first Auburn player to record at least 12 tackles and register a sack in a game since Zakoby McClain had 14 tackles and 2.0 sacks vs. Ole Miss in 2021.

It was Auburn's longest fumble return for a score since an 82-yard return by Justin Garrett vs. Louisville in 2015. It was the longest fumble return for Auburn since 2019, when Big Kat Bryant had an 83-yard return vs. Oregon.

Marcus Harris leads the club with 8.5 TFL and 5.0 sacks.

The Tigers got sacks from Elijah MAllister, Marcus Harris, Donovan Kaufman and Eugene Asante against UMass. Asante, and Harris also had sacks at Cal.

Simpson also recorded his first career fumble recovery against UMass, returning that 13 yards.

Before the 2020 Outback Bowl, Auburn had won 21 straight games when the Tigers scored a non-offensive touchdown (NOT).

McPherson was 6-7 last season on field goal attempts. His 51-yarder against Western Kentucky was the longest by an Auburn kicker since 2019. McPherson became Auburn's first freshman kicker to make a 50+ yarder since Anders Carlson did so twice in 2018.

>> Brian Battie is third in the SEC and 16th nationally averaging 25.2 yards per kickoff return (17 returns for 428 yards). His long return this season was 39 yards at Vanderbilt. He is one of four FBS players with at least 400 kickoff return yards and 150 rushing yards this season.

>> Auburn's record as a ranked team alltime is 334-126-6. Ranked Auburn teams at home are 191-34-2; away from Auburn, ranked Tiger squads are 142-91-4 all-time.

For the 2023 season, capacity has been increased to 88,043 with some updates to premium seating. The capacity crowd for the season opening win over UMass set an Auburn attendance record; the Samford, Georgia,Ole Miss and Mississippi State games were also in front of capacity crowds.

All home games this season have sold out in advance for the first time since 2015. Auburn season ticket sales set a record with 63,500 purchased this summer. The previous Auburn record was 62,900 season tickets sold before the 2014 campaign.
