We are a NY based sustainable technology company working to develop innovative recycling technology using plastic waste. In addition, we have created a new process to produce renewable biofuels and bio-based chemicals as an alternative to petro-based products.

Anellotech, Inc. is currently seeking a Process Development and Design Engineer to become a member of our Engineering Process Design team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills, as this role will be heavily focused on:

• Evaluating existing and novel fluidized bed reactor and regenerator designs.

• Designing fluidized bed reactors for use with the Bio-TCat and Plas-TCat catalytic pyrolysis technology.

• Developing kinetic models for fluidized reactors based on laboratory reactor data.

• Flow sheeting of new and unique processes.

• Assisting in developing documentation for Basic Engineering Studies for a commercial plant

• Participating in Process Hazard Analyses for pilot and commercial designs

To be successful in this role you must be able to:

• Work in small teams but also work Independently as needed

• Have good written and verbal communication skills.

• Pay attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and organization

• Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – advanced Excel skills a plus

• Be proficient in ASPEN Plus software

• Be proficient in ACM, g-Prom or Python software

• Experience with Visio, AutoCAD or similar drawing software a plus

• Knowledge of reaction engineering and catalytic reactions a plus

• Knowledge of fluidization technology a plus

• Knowledge of modeling of separation processes a plus

This position requires a MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering with 0 to 5 years of experience.
