Executive Roles for Educate Plus Chapters Educate Plus President of a ChapterRepresents the wider organisation as a Director on the EDUCATE PLUS BoardIs a member of the Chapter Executive CommitteeWorks with the Board and the CEO to achieve EDUCATE PLUS goals and mission Drives, leads and implements initiatives devised by the Board to achieve strategic and financial goals at the Chapter levelLiaises closely with the CEO for all Chapter mattersSets the example as a volunteer for the ChapterProvides leadership to the executives and the committee members so that the EDUCATE PLUS Chapter can perform its roleRequests the Chapter meetings, develops the agenda with the Administrator and committee members, chairs the meeting and leads the committeeIn consultation with the committee appoints chairpersons and members to working sub-committeesAttends these sub-committees ex-officio, if invitedBrings to the Board reports as to the health, achievements, concerns or issues of the ChapterEnsures Chapter activities support strategic and financial goals and are on budgetMonitors financial reports in consultation with the TreasurerPlays a leading role in ensuring the committee is sustainable i.e. ensuring succession, evaluating effectiveness of the committee and its executive, evaluates the performance of the Administrator. The Administrators are appointed and monitored by the ChapterCommunicates, through the agreed Communication Summary, the considerations and decisions of the Board.Vice PresidentIs a Member of the Chapter Executive CommitteePerforms President’s responsibilities when allocated Supports the President when requestedWorks closely with all members of the Chapter Executive Committee and the Administrator.TreasurerIs a member of the Chapter committee ExecutiveOversees the finances of the Chapter via the role of the AdministratorWorks with the Finance Manager to oversee the incoming and outgoing finances of the Chapter, banking, recording, balancing and receipting of all moniesProvides annual budget to the CEO for approval by the BoardProvides leadership to the Chapter on all financial policies and procedures so as to deliver the goals of EDUCATE PLUS.SecretaryIs a member of the Chapter Executive CommitteeOversees the effective management and recording of the Chapter’s organisationWorks closely with the Administrator on the recording and delivery of Chapter meetings’ minutesEnsures minutes are distributed to members promptly after each meeting and supports the Administrator on all matters arising from the minutes.Sub-Committee ChairIs a member of the Chapter Executive CommitteeSets tone for the sub-committee workEnsures that members have the information needed to do their jobsOversees the logistics of the committee’s operations, engages the services of the Administrator when requiredDelivers a report to the Chapter meetings on the subcommittee’s recommendations/decisionsAssigns work to the committee members, compiles the agenda, runs the meetings and ensures feedback via minutes or communication mittee Chapter MemberRegularly attends Chapter meetingsMakes serious commitment to participate actively in committee workVolunteers and willingly accepts assignments and completes them on timeStays informed about committee matters, prepares him/herself well for meetings and reviews and comments on minutes and reportsBuilds a collegial working relationship with other committee members and Chapter members and works to achieve the goals of EDUCATE PLUS. ................
