Many Christians have heard about the phrase, `The Romans Road to Salvation'. Yet, you might be surprised that I had never heard of this phrase until I was a mature Christian. I'm not sure why -- I was obviously missing out on a great way to spread the gospel.

However, maybe there's someone like me out there? I figured there may be others wondering, what is the Romans Road to Salvation? In a nutshell, I think it's a great way to remember how to lead someone into getting saved. It's just a few key Bible verses that should be memorized to tell others the good news and get on the right path to salvation. It's a great method to tell others about who God is by using His Word!

It's the greatest decision in someone's life, the Bible says we must be born again in the spirit to go to Heaven. Christians must be prepared to share this wonderful news by putting on our gospel shoes of peace as part of the Whole Armor of God. We are presenting a powerful plan to the Romans Road to Salvation!

Why is Being a Good Person Not Good Enough for God?

A lot of people stumble at the thought that a loving God would never throw anyone in the depths of hell because they do good things. We convince ourselves that since we are good "most of the time", we should get a one-way ticket to Heaven. Right?!!! Makes sense, doesn't it?

Yet, we miss the most important part that it's "most of the time". We are good people as we love our kids and feed them, practice social distancing, take care of our parents and so on. Yet, have you ever lied? You are a sinner. Have you ever had bitterness in your heart? You are a sinner. The Bible states that we are sinners if we sin ONE time.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 KJV I do good things, I am a good person, why would a loving God throw me in the depths of hell? As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one Romans 3:10 KJV

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12 KJV

God gave us the basic 10 Commandments in the book of Exodus. Have I ever beared false witness (lied)? Have I ever said the Lord's name in vain in anger? Maybe you've borrowed something from someone and never returned it? If the answer is yes to any of those 10 commandments, you are not perfect. You have disobeyed one or many of God's commandments.

What will Happen to You after you Die?

What will God do to me because I have sinned -- I've lied or cheated, got angry with my kids, held bitterness in my heart?!!

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 KJV

The bible says because of the sinful nature we possess, the sentence is death, a physical and spiritual death. Scary thought!!! I certainly don't want to die and go to hell. Read Luke 16:22-31 if you don't believe that there's a hell.

Yet, the wonderful news is that God gave us a way out, through his gift, Jesus Christ our Lord. Woo hoo!

Have you accepted His precious gift of eternal life? I am the way, the truth and the life: no man can cometh unto the Father but by me. John 14:6

What is the Solution to Sinning?

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. -Romans 5:8 KJV

Jesus came to earth not to save the Jews from the Romans like the disciples thought, he came to save the whole world from being condemned to death. God required the precious blood of Jesus, who was perfect and sinless.

While it seems `works' get us to heaven. It's not true. Ephesians 2:8-9 says,"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Your works are just that...yours. We can do nothing to please him like he deserves to be pleased, yet, he still loves us unconditionally.

How do we accept his gift of eternal salvation?

What is a Salvation Plan?

It's actually very simple, yet, our flesh thinks that we have to give up everything. You have a free will to do as you please. However, there is an eternal consequence to one decision you are avoiding to make, and it's too late when you die. You must make it today. There is no guarentee for tomorrow, my friend.

All you have to do is accept that Jesus is your Savior, you are a sinner, and he is the only way to get to heaven. The bible passage for the Romans Road to Salvation Romans 10:9 says this:

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9

Isn't that amazing?!! That's it and you have the gift of life for all eternity. And, guess what? you get the Holy Spirit instantly to guide you. He wants everyone to be saved. He loves you. Stop rejecting Him today. He created you, He has a purpose for you, He's your loving Father who wants you to be part of his kingdom.

For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son that whosover believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Can you see now why it's called the Romans Road to Salvation? There is a clear path to salvation in Romans, and these salvation bible verses will lead you to the best decision of your life. Will you make this decision today?

The Salvation Prayer

Lord, I am a sinner. I believe that you died for me on the cross to take my sins away. Please forgive me of my sins, please come into my heart and be my savior. Thank you for saving me, Lord.

If you sincerely believe from your heart that you received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, you are NOW a child of God says bible verse John 1:12.

This is the BEST decision a human being can make, it's a one way ticket to Heaven! You'll be in Heaven with God and his son, Jesus.
