IGI Now Offering for Sale an Educational CD-ROM Produced by the

Diamond Trading Company (DTC)

NEW YORK –The International Gemological Institute (IGI), one of the world’s foremost authorities on grading and valuating diamonds and fine gemstones, is now offering for sale the CD-ROM “Diamonds, Treatments, Synthetics and Simulants, Integrity, Disclosure and Detection,” which has been produced by the Diamond Trading Company.

IGI gemologists consider this is a definitive guide for maintaining the integrity of diamonds in the age of treatments and synthetics. The CD-ROM focuses on how to accurately detect high pressure, high temperature (HPHT) synthetics, chemical vapor deposition synthetics, HPHT treatments, black diamonds, fracture filling, external and internal laser drilling, as well as simulants.

The CD-ROM is available through IGI and can be purchased for $37.99. The CD-ROM is also available in Chinese (traditional and simplified), Japanese and Korean.
