This half term our topic is rainforests
This half term our topic is Russia. This topic allows the children to locate, using maps and atlases, countries in Europe - describing and understanding key aspects of physical and human geography. We will learn where Russia is located in the world; comparing human and physical features to other countries. We will look at the history of Russia, including the life and work of famous Russians. The children will also develop their ability to read and understand maps. Homework will consist of weekly spellings, which can be accessed via and online numeracy homework on or It is also expected that your child will read as part of their homework. Specific reading homework may be set during their guided reading session in addition to reading their own choice of text to an adult at home. Alongside this homework, it would be beneficial if parents would support their children in producing a project linked to our topic. Please send completed projects into school on Monday 22nd October.
