How does Thorpe Park attract and retain its customers?

How does Thorpe Park attract and retain its customers?Introduction Thorpe Park attract and retain their customers as this keeps them at the park longer so more money is being spent there. By doing this they are increasing their profit allowing them to construct bigger and better rides. They are many ways of doing this for example staying the night on site from coming back the next day for half price. Build a new ride every few years This would attract family’s to visit the park that may not have been before. This retains customers back again to try out the new rides but also not forgetting the thrill seekers and, young aged children who see the adverts on TV. The last ride that was built was swarm which cost them an excessive amount of ?14.000, 000 which is made back over two years. People over time will become bored of the old rides and want to experience new and better ones in replace. This ride would appeal to people aged 13 and over as there is a restriction on height and it may scare younger children. Advertisement flyers, radio, cereal boxes, TV, posters The business advertises so that people that have never heard of the park may want to visit. Thorpe Park would advertise on the radio as this would spread a good word for the trade. You may have seen before but on the side of Kellogg’s cereal boxes there are sometimes offers for example 2 for 1. They advertise on this products in particular as they are very popular for families and also it stands out (bright yellow). Thorpe park also advertise on TV’s as this advertises there trade worldwide. There would be a new/different advert every year to attract customers to the park that may never experience rides before. There are posters around the park that would persuade customers to stay the night at the hotel the following day would be half price.Special offers 2 for 1 deals, merlin passes39052505778500This would boost people that are not that well off to come and spend the day at Thorpe Park as it is cheaper than normal, and this makes the park look good on their behalf. A merlin annual pass can be used for Thorpe parks competitors for example Alton towers. The organisation announce over the tannoy about coming back the next day for just ?5. By the business doing this they are engorging customers to come again and spend more money. Parking they can go straight to the facilities The park offers free parking to all customers which would make it easier to visit as they are able to go straight to the park were they money would be made. There is already an extra cost of traveling to the park despite if you travel by car, bus or train so this helps to retain customers as they still have to pay a little out but despite this it is close to the park. Customers will also be able to leave quicker because of these modes of transport on offer. Themed nights Theme nights usually happen over Halloween, Easter. This encourages customers to stay at the park longer; the night would be amusing as this helps to retain the customers. It is very important to do themed nights as this brings money in over the winter months while the park is closed. This event would most likely finish late so the customers spend more money using the parks facilities for example food, hotel and extras (costumes). This may retain customers as it is something different than just rides, it could be described as being similar as a night club. Good quality customer service This happens by employing the correct staff that has the positive attitude towards customers. By staff being polite to customers and dealing with their needs this makes customers want to visit the Thorpe Park again and again. If Thorpe park can send the customers home with a smile on their face that may embolden them to tell their friends and family to visit as they have had a good time. Responsible ticket priceThis would encourage people to visit the park as they are paying a fair price. This could also retain the customers by them staying longer or coming back the next day for half the price. If you book ahead for example online it is now half price unlike if you paid at the gate on the day. This would encourage parents that maybe less wealthy to visit and have a day of fun also with rides for all ages from tea cups to saw. Bibliography I found my research by using text books in class which helped me to write about each bullet point in detail. I also went on the company’s website to find out information for example opening times or ticket prices. I also went on YouTube to look at videos of rides and see what the reviews were like, good or bad. Online resources ................
