The California State University launched the Calstate Fully Online Course Catalog to help students get the courses they need, maximize access, reduce bottleneck courses, improve student success and increase timely graduation for students through the use of innovative online technologies. Through CSU Fully Online, CSU undergraduate students have the opportunity to take one free fully-online course per semester/quarter offered at another CSU campus every term.

The CaiState Online Course Catalog is the central location for CSU students to find and enroll in online courses available at other CSU campuses. The information can be found at:

Summary - Assembly Bill No. 1062 - Cross-enrollment: Online Education.

SEC. 4. Section 89226 of the Education Code is amended to read: 89226. (a) On or before January 15, 2019, and on or before 15 every two years thereafter, the trustees shall report to the Legislature key performance data on state-supported online courses as defined in Section 89225, including, but not necessarily limited to, all of the following:

(1) The number of students enrolled at each campus. Please refer to Summary Table for Item 1 State and Summary Table for Item 1 Self During the Academic Year of 2017-2018: Total number of students enrolled in State Supported program in Fall 2017 is 484,297, Winter 2018 is 79,689, and Spring 2018 is 448,903. Total number of students enrolled in Self Supported program in Fall 2017 is 14,075, Winter 2018 is 11,729, and Spring 2018 is 17,403.

(2) Course completion rates for courses other than online course. Please refer to Summary Table for Item 2. During the academic year of 2017-18, course completion rates for courses other than online courses are 93% for fall 2017, 94% for winter 2018, and 93% for spring 2018. Completion rates vary by campus, student level, and demographics.

(3) Completion rates for degree programs that include no online courses. Please refer to Summary Table for Item 3. During the College Year 2017-2018, 95% of the degrees earned included no online courses and 5% of the degrees earned included online courses.

(4) Grade point average for students enrolled in online courses. Please refer to Summary Table for Item 4. During the academic year of 2017-18, grade point average for students enrolled in online courses is 3.06 for fall 2017, 3.18 for winter 2018, and 3.1 for spring 2018.

(5) The number of students (full-time equivalent and headcount) cross-enrolled in online courses at a California State University campus other than the campus at which they are matriculated. Please refer to Summary Table for Item 5. In fall 2017, 225 students were cross-enrolled in online courses at a California State University campus other than the campus at which they are matriculated, 42 in winter 2018, and 251 in spring 2018.

(6) Course completion rates for students enrolled in online courses. Please refer to Summary Table for Item 6. During the academic year of 2017-18, course completion rates for online courses are 91% for fall 2017, 92% for winter 2018, and 91.6% for spring 2018. Completion rates vary by campus, student level, and demographics.

(7) Completion rates for degree programs that include online courses.

Please refer to Item 3. During the College Year 2017-2018, 95% of the degrees earned included no online courses and . 5% of the degrees earned included online courses.

(8) Student enrollment (full-time equivalent and headcount) in all state-supported online courses, disaggregated by undergraduate and graduate students, as well as by campus. Please refer to Summary Table for Item 8. In fall 2017, 136,084 students were enrolled in state-supported online courses, 18,958 in winter 2018, and 136,608 in spring 2018.

(9) Cross-campus online enrollment (full-time equivalent) by host campus. Please refer to Summary Table for Item 9. In fall 2017, 225 students were cross-enrolled in online courses at a California State University campus other than the campus at which they are matriculated, 42 in winter 2018, and 251 in spring 2018.

(10) Successful course completion rates in cross-campus online courses. Please refer to Summary Table for Item 10. During the academic year of 2017-18, course completion rates for cross-campus online courses were 76% for fall 2017, 81% for winter 2018, and 77% for spring 2018. Completion rates vary by campus, student level, and demographics. Successful course completion rates should be interpreted with caution, as many of the sub group sizes are fairly small.

(11) Courses completed by cross-enrolled online students, specifying the type of academic credit they received, including lower division, upper division, or graduate level. Please refer to Summary Table for Item 11. During academic year of 2017-18, almost 60% of the courses completed by cross-enrolled online students were upper division level courses
