Post: Engineer/Senior Engineer (Electrical)

Duties:

1. To manage the electrical and electronic works of the Wastewater Management Authority.

2. To supervise outsourcing contracts.

3. To co-ordinate the activities of the electrical/electronic division with the various divisions of the Authority.

4. To advise on the acquisition and disposal/re-use of electrical plants and equipment and on asset replenishment.

5. To supervise the contract for any new electro-mechanical plant installation and ensure that the Authority’s formats are implemented in the design of minor pumping stations, Operations and Maintenance Manual, and maintenance scheduling.

6. To enforce health and safety standards at all facilities in accordance with the Authority’s Health/Safety Plan.

7. To assist in the preparation of tender and quotations for any related procurement exercise.

8. To ensure the efficient running of all plants and equipment.

9. To supervise and co-ordinate the work of subordinate staff and ensure collaboration with the Pumping Station and Treatment Plants Units.

10. To provide relevant training to subordinate staff.

11. To use ICT in the Performance of his duties.

12. To perform such other duties directly related to the main duties listed above or related to the delivery of the output and results expected from the Engineer/ Senior Engineer (Electrical) in the roles ascribed to him.
