CLUB FAIR

The THS CLUB FAIR will be on Thursday, September 20th after school in the commons. At the club fair, students can learn about and sign up for clubs. Students will be able to take a late bus after the fair.

NEW INFORMATION

JUNIORS AND SENIORS! The 2018 HARVEST BALL will be held on Monday, November 5th from 7pm-10:30pm at the Waterview in Monroe. Tickets will be sold in the Commons during lunch waves from Wednesday, October 3rd until Friday October 5th. Tickets are $70 each. Permission slips are available in the house offices, on the Classroom page of your respective class and on the THS website. In order to guarantee your preferred seating, it is suggested that students organize tables beforehand and purchase all seats at the same time. There are 10 seats at each table.

JUNIORS AND SENIORS who are interested in applying for the MATH HONOR SOCIETY should visit the Math department website for the Mu Alpha Theta application. The deadline is September 28th. Late applications will not be accepted. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Payne or Mrs. Basbagill.

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY: Volunteers are needed for the Frenchtown Halloween party on October 26, 2018. Interested students should contact Torie Brown by October 10, 2018 at: torie.brown13@

DRIVER EDUCATION: The Fall comprehensive Driver Education course will begin October 1, 2018. Students must be 16 years old to register. Registration forms are outside the Driver Education door (across from A1), House Offices and the Main Office. For more information see Mr. Romano in the Driver Education office across from A1 or call (203)452-4577.

ATTENTION SENIORS: if you were absent when a counselor came into your social studies class to present on the college application process/procedures on September 12th or September 13th please come to the college & career center periods 4, 5, 6, or 7 on Friday, September 21st for a make-up.

CALLING ALL GIRLS OF THE CLASS OF 2019: You are invited to participate in the long standing tradition of PowderPuff Football. This is your chance to get out on the grid iron, have some fun, and raise some money to support the PTSA Post Prom event. Plans are already underway to make this the best Post Prom yet! This year' game will be held on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 10th. Registration materials are available in house offices and due back to the main office no later than October 2nd.

GLOW CLUB: Anyone interested in a leadership role in the GLOW Club (Gender Sexuality Alliance) this year should stop by Mrs. Foster's office in the Upper Media Center by September 21. Also, sign up to help at the table during the Club Fair outside Mrs. Foster's office or on Google Classroom.

SENIORS: College Essay Review - Have your college essay reviewed by an Admissions Counselor on October 2-4th. Mr. McKeon, Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Sacred Heart University, will read your essay and give you feedback and tips. SENIORS: Common Application Workshop ? Want some tips for completing the Common Application? Join Ms. Eisenberg in A16 during all lunch waves on Thursday September 27th for a workshop on the application and to have your questions answered. Please note: if you're enrolled in Senior Seminar this semester this workshop will be offered during class on September 24th or 25th.

JUNIORS & SENIORS interested in UConn-Stamford, we will be taking a field trip there on October 11th, please register for this trip on the college & career center database (trumbull-), your login information can be found in your school email and permission slips can be printed from there as well.
