Quicksets Hawaii Volleyball Club Fact Sheet

Philosophy: Our club philosophy is to make a difference to our young athletes by being a mentor as well as a role model. We are committed to teaching the techniques and strategy necessary to compete in a high level of competitive play. We emphasize the importance of player self-satisfaction through repetition and competitive play.

Commitment: Club season runs December through the end of June. Each participant within the Quicksets Hawaii Volleyball Club will need to make a commitment to the team by attending practices and participate within tournaments. Each coach aware that players are participating in SCHOOL sports and understands that players must attend those functions as of first priority.

Club Fees: $825.00 per player nonrefundable for GIRLS and $600.00 per player nonrefundable for BOYS. Players will NOT be allowed to practice if their fees are not paid. Payment plans are available. Fees include uniform purchases, junior tournaments (GIRLS ONLY), gym fees, registration fees and administrative costs. This will be due at the parent meeting. (Please note that all USAV, junior tournament and gym costs have been raised). ADULT tournament fees are not included. Included in costs are weightlifting and plyometric/agility sessions.

Travel Costs: Are not covered by any of these fees. Travel costs include tournament fees, airfare, lodging, van expenses and for snacks. Coach’s airfares, lodging , meals and transportation will also be included within these costs and divided amongst the team. All players must stay with the team during the length of the trip. Specific travel policies and procedures will be given to players once they have committed to the club.

Fundraising: Fundraising is optional per player. Team fundraising will be handled by their team and not through the club.

Practice Sites: We are very fortunate to have many practice sites available. Practices will be held at selected church sites, Salt Lake, Manoa Recreation, Saint Francis and Saint Louis School. Practices will be from 6:30pm – 8:30 pm and may change due to school functions.

Tournaments: All participants will be participating in Junior Tournaments as well as Adult tournaments. 2 national trips are in the process of being planned. The Haili Tournament on the Big Island is also being explored as well as the Ho’oikaika Tournament on Kauai.

Dismissal from the Club: Players that do no maintain an orderly conduct will be dismissed from the club. Any coach or chaperone within this club will not tolerate alcoholic beverages as well as drugs. If players are caught drinking or doing drugs, their parents will be notified and their daughter/son will be dismissed from the team.
