TCS Industry, Business and Salesforce? Experts Enable Enterprises to Become More Responsive by Modernizing and Migrating from On-Premise Server-Based CRM Systems to the Cloud

Today there is a tectonic trend, and for good reason, from expensive to maintain, on-premise serverbased CRM systems to more cost-effective and functionally advanced, cloud-based CRM platforms.

The decision to modernize or switch CRM systems also involves other factors such as high license renewal costs; highly customized and expensive to upgrade and maintain legacy systems; out-of-date, soon-to-sunset systems; and platforms and applications so stale that it's hard to find people who want to work on them.

Moving to a new platform is a great way to energize the agility of the enterprise, but only with a holistic view on the value creation the capabilities of the platform can provide. Successful CRM migrations are more than changing platforms and moving to the cloud is very different than any onpremise environment and has its own set of challenges including UI, governor limits, capabilities, data model, security model, etc.

TCS Salesforce Practice Global Center of Excellence Lead Matt Francis is one of fewer than 200 Certified Architects in the world and a CRM expert having architected global enterprise CRM implementations and modernization projects for leading companies in a wide variety of industries. Matt shares his insights on his Modernizing CRM for Maximum Agility blog on how the CRM migration process should be viewed as an opportunity to be a "silo buster" and the dangers of mapping out all the screens, functions, and fields in the old system and start building it exactly (or as closely as possible) the same way in the new system.

Matt also will share with TCS customer Victor Ferreira, SuperValu Senior Director-Marketing, Digital & Business Intelligence Services, additional insights at Dreamforce speaking session Modernizing CRM to Maximize Enterprise Agility and Engagement Tuesday Oct. 4 12:30-1:10 p.m. PDT at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis, Foothill F room. During the session, Matt and Victor will explore how optimizing business processes and migrating away from infrastructure-heavy legacy CRM and enterprise applications to Salesforce cloud-based solutions can give enterprises the agility to respond to customer and market demand, and innovate to create new business models enabling them to more quickly adapt to today's rapidly changing environment.
