The FDA and CDC have each released updated information on Friday 11/22 evening warning consumers to Not eat, and companies Not to ship Romaine Lettuce grown in the Salinas, CA region due to an ongoing outbreak.

All bulk Romaine products should have the region origin on the side of the box.

All consumer packages with Romaine should have a label on the consumer pack listing the growing region for Romaine.

Bulk Romaine and Romaine Hearts: Four Seasons Produce will continue to ship all Organic and Conventional 12ct and 24ct bulk Romaine Lettuces and 12/3ct Romaine Hearts since all of the product we have here and on the road is from the following regions that are not impacted: Santa Maria, CA; Lamont, CA; Yuma, AZ; Las Cruces, NM; Punta Gorda, FL.

Salad Products Containing Romaine: Four Seasons Produce plans to NOT ship any packaged salads containing Romaine Lettuce for Saturday 11/23/19 delivery. If you would receive a salad containing romaine from Salinas on Saturday 11/23/19 or after, please return it for credit. We'll assess each line over the weekend to determine the origin of the Romaine in each salad code and lot and begin shipping once again if the label shows the product is not from Salinas, CA.

IMPACTED BY ADVISORY

To comply with the advisory, customers of Four Seasons Produce should look at each salad package with Romaine as an ingredient and remove it from the shelf if it lists the Romaine origin as "Salinas, CA".

Since this Consumer Advisory is not a Recall, shippers are reminding us that by PACA rules we must pay them in full for all Romaine Lettuce already received. We do, however, have the right to reject any future shipments of Romaine or products containing Romaine from Salinas, CA.
