Mid-year transcripts: Seniors receiving mid-year or “7th semester” transcript requests from college admissions office can make a transcript request in January. Make a request in Parchment and click” Hold for Grades”. Those transcripts will be sent out as soon as they become available second semester. For Common App schools, counselors will automatically upload a mid-year transcript for all students who applied to schools on the Common Application.

AXA Achievement Scholarship- The AXA Achievement Scholarship offers college scholarships of $2,500, 410,000 and $25,000 to high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the workplace. NALS of Michigan Scholarship Award- They are offering one annual scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to an individual enrolled, or planning to enroll, in a school of advanced education pursuing a degree in the legal field. National Management Association Scholarship Speech Contest- Students present an original 4-6-minute speech on the topic of Leadership. The goal of the contest is to promote communications skills and understanding of leadership in today’s youth. Top three local competitors receive awards of $500, $250, and $100. Local winner goes on to a Reginal contest with prizes of $1000 and $500. National winner receives $4,000. Robert Edward Lang Scholarship- This scholarship is sponsored by the Greater Detroit Chapter of the United Nations Association (GDUNA). The fund awards $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors in Metropolitan Detroit pursuing a degree related to international studies at an accredited college or university.

Rove Pest Control Scholarship- Applicants for this scholarship must be attending college by fall 2017 semester and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. This scholarship is open to anyone seeking a higher education. Award amount is $500, applications only online will be accepted.

Ryan Fischer Legacy Scholarship- The Ryan Fischer Legacy Award was established to Honor the life of Ryan Fischer and the legacy he left the Michigan hockey community. The purpose of the award is to recognize one outstanding senior varsity hockey player (male or female) who best exemplifies the character and value by which Ryan lived his life. The winner will receive a one-time college scholarship valued at $3,000 and will be recognized for their accomplishments at the Michigan All State Hockey Awards Banquet Sponsored by Hockey Weekly in March 2018. Troy Community Lions- Troy Community Lions will be offering two $500 college scholarships to graduating seniors. They must reside in Troy, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and plan to attend college in September 2017. Application in the Guidance Office.

The Officer Collin Rose Memorial Foundation Scholarship- Award $1,000- The Officer Rose Memorial Foundation Scholarship honors the memory of fallen Wayne State University Police Officer Collin Rose. He was murdered while on a street investigation in Detroit in November 2016. He was pursuing a master’s degree from the university at the time of his death. This scholarship may be renewed once for the following academic year. Student must request renewal by April 1 the academic year of the initial award and show proof of continued enrollment in one of the eligible fields of study while maintaining passing grades. Applicant shall be majoring in mediation, dispute resolution, criminal justice, law enforcement, firefighting or paramedic services. Perry Outreach Program- Perry Outreach Program on Saturday January 12, 2019 at Beaumont Health in Royal Oak MI. SCAD Challenge- Students can take the SCAD Challenge for a chance to win a scholarship. Students can put their artistic vision on display for the opportunity to earn a scholarship to SCAD, the university for creative careers. University of Miami-The Summer Scholars Program at the University of Miami offers academically-motivated high school sophomores and juniors the ability to sample college life, explore one of 16 exciting programs taught by UM’s distinguished faculty, and take classes and form friendships with peers from around the world. University of Southern California- The University of Southern California is pleased to announce the student application is now open for USC Bovard Scholars, a program which aims to help high-achieving high school rising seniors with financial need gain admission to and succeed at the nation’s top universities. The program includes an intensive, three-week residential experience during the summer on the USC campus and personal coaching throughout the college application and decision-making process, all at no cost to the student.
