GRAFFITI LETTERING DESIGN YOUR OWN TAG! This assignment will be due on Monday, May 18thgraffiti - writing or drawings scribbled, scratched, or sprayed illicitly on a wall or other surface in a public place.Graffiti is considered to be a branch of Urban Art, or a style of?art?that relates to cities and?city?life often done by artists who live in or have a passion for?city?life. The notion of 'Urban Art' developed from?street art?which is primarily concerned with?graffiti?culture. A “tag” is a stylized personal signature that is the graffiti writer’s nickname.INSTRUCTIONS-Create a graffiti tag using a unique nickname by first practicing three lettering styles and then enlarging your favorite. The name should contain at least four letters?and should not be your given name.-Incorporate Bubble Letters, Straights, and Wildstyle Fonts. You will find some helpful tutorial sheets below.-Show a consistent three-dimensional shadow on my tag (optional)-Color your tag (optional)STEPS1. *Read “URBAN ART: WORKING WITH IDEAS.” This can be found on the menu to the left of my website homepage. If you receive my assignments in the mail, this information is attached.2. On paper, using your selected “tag” name, practice drawing the tag in EACH of the three lettering styles – bubble, straights or block, and wildstyle – try to get them all on the same page.3. Select your favorite of the three layouts and draw it larger on a separate piece of paper. You can optionally add details, highlights, three-dimensional shading or special effects, symbols, or an animated character. All of these are characteristics of graffiti, especially with the wildstyle fonts. See the examples below for ideas. Please do not trace!4. Color your tag if you like.
