Q: How to connect Samsung Blu Ray Player (older models) to your wireless network ?A: STEP 1: Getting StartedWith a network connection, you can?automatically update your player's firmware, stream content from online providers such as Netflix for movies and Pandora for free internet radio and with some models you can even stream pictures, music and videos from computers on your network right to your TV.Requirements:1) Samsung Wireless USB Adapter WIS09ABGNIMPORTANT: Only the Samsung WIS09ABGN Wireless USB adapter may be used.2) Wireless Router* - Wireless N or G is recommended butA,B,G & N will work.3) Internet Connection - To access Netflix, Pandora, firmware updates and BD Live Content, an active internet connection is required.IMPORTANT: Make sure you DO NOT have both the Ethernet Cable and the Wireless Dongle connected. You can only use one network adapter at a time.This?article assumes that your Blu-ray Player is already connected to your TV.STEP 2: Connect The USB Adapter1) Turn on your TV and Blu-ray Player and tune your TV to the appropriate input.2) Connect the Wireless USB Adapter to the rear USB port on your player. The following message appears: "Do you want to connect to wireless Network?" YES or NO3) Using your Blu-ray remote, select YES and press Enter. "Connecting" appears on the screen. If your home wireless network requires no password and there are no other wireless networks in range, then your player should automatically connect with no additional configuration and "Connected" will appear. However, If the device detects more than one available network, you will need to continue setting up your wireless network as described in the following steps.STEP 3: Select An Access Point1) Press Menu on the remote control and use the arrows and Enter buttons to go to Setup > Network.2) Ensure that "Network Selection" is set to "Wireless". If Network Selection says [CABLE], press Enter, select "Wireless", and then press Enter again.3) Scroll to Wireless Network and press Enter. Access Point is highlighted.DHCP should be set to ONDNS should be set to AUTOOther settings will be grayed out.4) Press?Enter?to search for available?Access Points. All?Access Points?in range (whose SSIDs are being broadcasted) are listed.?IMPORTANT:?Your Access Point?(SSID)?should be identified by its full name. If the SSID is only partially displayed, for example, your SSID is Robinson Family but only Robinson appears, you will need to manually enter the SSID or modify the SSID to remove spaces.5) Scroll to desired?Access Point?and press?Enter.NOTE:?Image is for illustration purposes only and does not reflect actual Access Points. Access Points will differ for all users and may change frequently depending on wireless networks available.6) Select security type.If the wireless network is not protected and does not require a security key, select?OPEN and press Enter to connect to the network.If network is protected, chose the appropriate encryption type WEP, WPAPSK or WPA2PSK and enter the security key using the on screen keyboard, then press the blue D button to connect.If you don't know what type of encryption the network is using, try entering the security key for each of the options until a connection is made.NOTE: If the D button does not respond, either the security key was entered incorrectly or the SSID is not recognized in its entirety. Re-enter the security key taking care to enter lower case and capital letters where required. If still unresponsive, click "Access Point (SSID) is Not Identified By Its Full Name” above to continue.7) "Connecting"?appears on the screen. Allow 1-2 minutes for connection to complete.8) When complete,?"Connected"?appears and the?Network Menu?returns. Scroll down to?"Network Connection Test"?and press?Enter.If the network connection test passes, you have successfully connected to your network and can begin using online services such as Netflix and Pandora.***If any part of the network connection test fails, run the test again.***Connecting to your home network does not automatically connect your player to computers on your network.
