Oppression is a satanic spiritual power which opposes and put in slavery the human race. The power of oppression does not care about your religion, skin color, age, nationality, background, sex, beliefs, physics, financial condition, position in life and whether you believe in oppression or not.

What is oppression? What does it mean to be oppressed?

• Oppression is an evil power or a negative energy that opposes one’s will and life.

• Oppression is an evil power that makes you captive to your enemies.

• Oppression is design to make you captive, captivity is a state of life which makes everything negative.

• Oppression is when you are a captive and denied freedom to move at will.

• When you are oppressed your movements in life and choices are restricted.

• When a person is under oppression peace is none existent and his potential is denied.

• Oppression is when one’s captivity started since in the womb.

• Oppression is the foundation for difficulties, hardships, sufferings, frustrations, stubborn bondages.

• Oppression is a dark force of evil power cruelly exercising dominance over a person.

• Oppression is to be under a hard yoke and a heavy burden.

• Oppression is a wicked demonic force sitting on someone and constantly harassing him.

• Oppression is a satanic spirit who forces its way on its victims without mercy.

Types of oppression

Oppression is design for one and only thing, to make man captive. There are two types of captivity; personal and collective.

• Personal captivity can be as a result of personal sins, mistakes or the mistakes from others affecting you. Your personal sins can make you captive or the sins of your ancestors can too.

• Captivity can be collective, collective captivity is when you belong to a family, a community, a group, even a nation which all the members are suffering from the same ill. This kind of captivity is always the result of one person’s sin or mistake which is affecting now many people. Adam sinned in the beginning since then, all Adam’s generation became collectively bound by sin too.

All oppressions have their roots in the realm of the spirit. A person under any type of oppression is the result of oppression planted in the spirit. Spiritual oppression by itself can be fatal if the victim does do anything about it. Table at the next page give us the major groupings of oppression affecting humanity.

How do people fall under oppression? Why people are oppressed?

1. There are two types of intelligence in this world. There is a natural intelligence or an intellectual intelligence, and then there is a spiritual intelligence. Natural intelligence can be learned in school and by studying the knowledge of men. Spiritual intelligence is a divine gift, a gift from God. Spiritual intelligence is received by spending time with the Lord, the God to the Bible. Spiritual intelligence can not be acquired by natural means, only through the power of the Holy Spirit. Spiritual intelligence is given by God to solve both spiritual and natural problems facing humanity. Spiritual problems are the roots of all physical issues the world is facing. Those who Lack spiritual intelligence or are spiritual ignorant are the favorite targets of the spirit of oppression.

My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge (spiritual intelligence).

2. Everyone on this earth including God Almighty has one or more enemies. An enemy is someone or something that opposes you.

Psalm 68:1 (NIV)

May God arise, may his enemies be scattered; may his foes flee before him.

A. Man is faced with two enemies; the first one is the flesh (sinful nature). The second is evil spirit.

Romans 8:5-8 (NIV)

Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. [6] The mind of sinful man (flesh) is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; [7] the sinful mind (flesh) is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. [8] Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

Galatians 5:19-21 (NIV)

The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; [20] idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions [21] and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

The flesh by definition is a sinful mind; it is a mind that thinks opposite to the way mind of God thinks. For example the mind of God thinks that a man should love his neighbor as he loves himself. A fleshly mind will think the opposite to that; the sinful mind thinks hate towards his neighbor. The flesh operates by thinking opposite to God; this type of mentality is called the flesh, the carnal mind, sinful mind, evil mind and lustful mind. When a person thinks opposite to God two things happens:

• God withdraws Himself from the person, because such a mind is hostile to Him and does not submit to His authority, Romans 8:5-8.

• The devil and evil spirits are drawn to the person because he has created a platform which encourages demonic activities of various kind, Galatians 5:19-21

The flesh is a sinful mind, it is lust. Lust or the flesh is an evil desire, or a strong evil desire. When a man lust after a woman, it means the man has desired the woman in an evil way, which is fleshly thinking. The flesh assaults the will of man by yearning, pulling, desiring, wanting, grasping, grabbing, craving, hungering, thirsting, longing, taking which is evil in the sight of God. The flesh can not be managed because it is strong and too difficult to control. The Scriptures has only one remedy to it, death by crucifixion.

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.

Those who belong to Christ have nailed their natural evil desires to his cross and crucified them there.

B. Man second enemy is evil spirits. Some people believe in the existence of evil spirits or demons and some don’t. Whether you believe it or not it makes no difference because the Bible says they do exist and are very cruel creatures.

Ephesians 6:12 (NIV)

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies--the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world.

The above Scripture uses words like “struggle” and “fighting”, why? These words imply the presence of an enemy, an enemy which is unseen to the natural eyes but as real as yourself. This is enemy is a person or persons without bodies. They are real and fierce and have no mercy towards human kind. They operate by deception and covertly under the cover of spiritual darkness. These spiritual enemies fight humans by using snares.

Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.

Psalm 124:6-8 (NIV)

Praise be to the Lord, who has not let us be torn by their teeth. [7] We have escaped like a bird out of the fowler's snare; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped. [8] Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

A fowler is someone who lays trap for birds. Satan is the master fowler; he is in the business of trapping humans like birds. Those humans without spiritual intelligence are his favorite, they are his easiest preys. What is the snare that Satan and evil spirits use to trap man? It is called temptation. When a person falls into temptation the end result is committing sin. When the sin is full blown, it produces a negative or evil reaction in the life of the victim which is oppression.

Oppression arises when; the flesh + evil spirits freely operate in the life of a person. The flesh provides a legal platform for evil spirits to operate. Evil spirits use the flesh to express their personalities in a fleshly way. These two enemies of man work hand and hand to oppress mankind. They are inseparable like smoke and fire. Where there is smoke there is also fire and where fleshly activity is so are evil spirits. To be freed from oppression both enemies of man must be dealt with. The flesh must be crucified; you crucify it by not feeding and giving into its dictates. If you don’t feed a living creature soon or later it will die, so is your flesh. Evil spirits need to be dealt with by prayer, not ordinary prayer but deliverance prayer.

I say to God my Rock, "Why have you forgotten me? Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy?"

Isaiah 54:14 (NKJV)

In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you

Then I returned and considered all the oppression that is done under the sun:

And look! The tears of the oppressed, but they have no comforter--On the side of their oppressors there is power, but they have no comforter.

Oppression is from the kingdom of darkness. As a child of God you must run far from it. Any oppression in your life must be dealt with. Many people in this world are oppressed and don’t know what to do about it. Oppressors don’t care whether their victims are suffering; they take pleasure seeing their victims agonizing until they see death. Oppression is a terrible slave master; it is able to make any grown man cry like a baby. If nothing is done about oppression, the victim will lose its mind.

The most common forms of oppression people are dealing with are the following:

• Evil covenant

• Curses

• Evil spiritual marriage

• Evil patterns

• Satanic dreams or dream manipulation

• Witchcraft oppression

This is what the Lord Almighty says: "The people of Israel are oppressed, and the people of Judah as well. All their captors hold them fast, refusing to let them go. [34] Yet their Redeemer is strong; the Lord Almighty is his name. He will vigorously defend their cause so that he may bring rest to their land, but unrest to those who live in Babylon.

"Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come and has redeemed his people. The only answer to oppression is found in God, through His Son Jesus Christ. Oppression is a spiritual problem and can not be solved by natural and physical solutions. Neither can it be solved by visiting occults places or practicing various world religion and doctrines. The Scriptures says in Acts 8:38 that the devil is the root of oppression. The cure to oppression is the anointing of Jesus Christ with the power of the Holy Spirit. There are many forms of oppressions in the world. Many people are suffering from endless financial problems, hunger, lack, misfortunes, constant failures, acute poverty, religious oppression, epidemic, wars, violence, discrimination, addiction bondage, family break down, fear, terrorism, tragedies, sicknesses and diseases etc. All the governments of the world have failed their citizens by trying to solve these ills with natural and physical means. The Church has failed too by using man inspired programs. A person can not be freed from oppression by going back to school for more degree or throwing money at their oppressive issues. I have seen many people suffering from acute poverty will go back to school believing that acquiring newly skills and knowledge will solve their problems. The root of poverty is not found in the world of the physical nor can it be solved with natural means, it is a spiritual problem. All addictions that humans suffer from are design by a satanic mind to be oppressive. All the natural programs out there will help for a while but will not get to the root of the problem. Family crisis which causes family break down is an oppression from the kingdom of darkness to destroy the institution of marriage and oppress its members. Jesus Christ is the only answer to all forms of oppression.

To be freed from oppression

• Give your life to the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior if you have not done so.

• You must repent of your sins (confessing your sins individually), and the sins of your ancestors.

• You must read and learn from the Bible to acquire spiritual intelligence.

• You must identify the sins of your flesh then stop feeding it. Not feeding your flesh is a very difficult thing to do; it is done by not giving into its dictates. The more successful you become the flesh will die and its sinful activities in your life will cease.

• You must identify the various evil spirits operating in and around your life. You will need to engage them with deliverance prayers to free yourself from their oppressive activities.

• Seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire, according to Luke 3:16. The majority of Christian believes in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, very few believe of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and with fire. Where there is Divine fire demonic activities are none existent. Seek fellowship with believers who believe in the Bible as God’s Holy Word.

• Any spirit, personality and power, oppressing me in my career I challenge you with the fire of Holy Spirit.
