Dear Dr. Harrison:

The Office of Career and Technical Education requests the review and approval from the Education Oversight Committee for the attached recommended Industry Recognized Credentials for the 2020-2021 academic year. In summary, there are currently 254 credentials on the approved list from the previous 2019-2020 academic year. We are seeking to delete 15 of those credentials with the respective reasoning listed by each credential. We are also seeking to add 59 new credentials. These credentials have been recommended and vetted by Career and Technical Education professionals, representatives from business and industry, and other stakeholders. While we are presenting the list for the 2020-2021 academic year, we are also currently working to move towards a stackable credential system for the 2021-2022 academic year. This work began during the previous year and was affected by our demand in other areas due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, our work continues for this initiative with anticipation to complete the stackable credential system by March 2021. Attached, you will find the following:
