SUMMARY: The Friends For Life’s Phlebotomist will draw blood and collect urine for medical screenings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides phlebotomy services on a regular schedule onsite at Friends For Life (Mid-town) and The Haven Outreach Center (East Memphis/Hickory Hill). Provide phlebotomy services during outreach events. Pick-up test results and transport collected samples for processing to Shelby County Health Department. Acts as a liaison between Friends For Life and the Shelby County Health Department. Deliver test results as well as provide pre and posttest STI education and counseling for participants. Maintains accurate up-to-date records of all client contacts and Tennessee state reporting requirements for positive/reactive test results. Schedule and facilitate treatment services for positive/reactive test results. Maintains all client-related information under strict confidentiality. Provide accurate, complete, and timely data entry and reporting of all relevant program and consumer data into CAREWare and Evaluation Web and/or other reporting systems as requested by supervisor. Complete monthly reports to direct supervisor in timely manner.

Tuesday 9:00am - 3:00pm Mid-town
Wednesday 1:30pm - 10:00pm Mid-town/Hickory Hill
Thursday 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Mid-town
Friday 5:00 pm -10:00 pm Hickory Hill
Saturday 4:00 pm -10:00pm Hickory Hill
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree or LPN preferred. Must provide documentation of completion of an accredited Phlebotomy program that demonstrates a minimum of 42 hours of classroom instruction in addition to 120 hours of supervised clinical practice or equivalent work experience. Must have experience with Microsoft Office.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid State Driver’s License, provide proof of automobile insurance coverage to employer at all times and have an automobile to be used daily to perform job duties.

Repeat the same movements.Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
OSHA CATEGORY:
This position performs tasks that may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Training will be provided per Standard Operating Procedure for your area of operation. All FFL employees are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis B vaccination series.
