Website Synopses Assignment Summer 2013
Due August 3rd Midnight - (This assignment may be turned in early.)
This assignment takes time to complete, and I suggest you begin well in advance of the due date. This assignment is worth 40 points.
Below is a list of websites concerned with immigration. Write a synopsis of each website in Group I and three websites of your choice in Group II.
1) The organization’s purpose – Write in your own words of what the organizations purpose / mission 5 points
2) Narrative of links to articles, reports, research, ect. I do not want you to copy and paste links. Describe the type of links (to scholarly articles, blogs, no links…) You may use links as examples.) - 5 points
3) The general slant and persuasive language, if evident - 5 points
4) Anything that strikes you about the site or the organization - 5 points
15 Points for overall content and quality of work. 5 points for assignment turned in on time.
**I am looking for your observations, not a copy/paste from the websites. The amount you write will vary from site to site but there should be at least one paragraph. I will grade you on overall content and observations.
