Directions to Applicant:

1. Complete the application only once, as it is a universal application. The application will need to be

completed prior to March 13, 2020 at 12:00 noon. Late applications will not be considered.

award will receive a formal invitation to this event.

Palo Verde College Foundation Scholarships

Arneson Family Scholarship 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must be a returning Palo Verde College student (main campus or Needles) or student

graduating from Palo Verde High School, Twin Palms High School or Needles High School who will attend Palo Verde College for Spring 2020. 2. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 units for Spring 2020. 3. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Awards: One award (total $157.00). Students will receive half of their award in the fall and the remaining in the spring. A check paid directly to student via Fiscal Services minus registration fees if applicable.

Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must be a returning Palo Verde College student (main campus or Needles) or student

graduating from Palo Verde High School, Twin Palms High School or Needles High School who will attend Palo Verde College for Spring 2020. 2. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 units for Spring 2020. 3. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Awards: One or more awards (total $1,273.00). Students will receive half of their award in the fall and the remaining in the spring. A check paid directly to student via Fiscal Services minus registration fees if applicable.

DACE ? Scholarship 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must be a returning Palo Verde College student (main campus) or student graduating

from Palo Verde High School, Twin Palms High School (GED or Diploma) who will attend Palo Verde College for Spring 2020. 2. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 units for Spring 2020. 3. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. 4. Students must be a resident of the Desert Communities Empowerment Zone (DCEZ) which includes: Colorado River Communities, Desert Center, Mesa Verde, Ripley, and portions of Blythe. (Contact Financial Aid for map and description of eligible areas.) 5. Students must demonstrate financial need and have some past or current involvement/leadership in school or community organized activities. Awards: One or more awards (up to a total of $1,117.00). Students will receive half of their award in the fall and the remaining in the spring. A check paid directly to student via Fiscal Services minus registration fees if applicable.

Emilie A. Graham Nursing Scholarship 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must be a returning Palo Verde College student (main campus) or student graduating

from Palo Verde High School or Twin Palms High School (GED or Diploma) who will attend Palo Verde College for Spring 2020. 2. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 units for Spring 2020. 3. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. 4. Students must be enrolled in the Palo Verde College Nursing program. Students must have been a resident of Palo Verde Valley for at least five (5) years, demonstrate financial need, and have some past involvement/leadership in school, community or church organized activities. Awards: One or more awards (up to a total of $1,306.00). Students will receive half of their award in the fall and the remaining in the spring. A check will be paid directly to student Fiscal Services minus registration fees if applicable.

Dr. John Hadlock Scholarship 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must be a returning Palo Verde College student (main campus or Needles) or student

graduating from Palo Verde High School, Twin Palms High School or Needles High School who will attend Palo Verde College for Spring 2020. 2. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 units for Spring 2020. 3. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Awards: One award (total $157.00). Students will receive half of their award in the fall and the remaining in the spring. A check paid directly to student via Fiscal Services minus registration fees if applicable.

Lovekin Circle K Scholarship 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must be a returning Palo Verde College student (main campus) or student graduating

from Palo Verde High School or Twin Palms High School (GED or Diploma) who will attend Palo Verde College for Fall 2020. 2. Students must be enrolled in at least 12 units for Spring 2020. 3. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. Awards: One (1) award of $1500 and One (1) award of $1000. Students will receive half of their award in the fall and the remaining in the spring. A check will be paid directly to student Fiscal Services minus registration fees if applicable.

McCreary Family Scholarship 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must be a returning Palo Verde College student (main campus) or a graduating PVHS

senior to attend Palo Verde College for Fall 2019. 2. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 units for Spring 2020. 3. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. 4. First priority will go to students going into the teaching field and second priority will be given to

students in the nursing field. Awards: One or more scholarship awards (up to a total of $2,445.00). Students will receive half of their award in the fall and the remaining in the spring. A check will be paid directly to student Fiscal Services minus registration fees if applicable.

Averill Family Scholarship 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must be a full time Palo Verde College Student to apply for scholarship. To receive scholarship, must be enrolled full-time for Fall 2020. 2. Student must major in Career Technical Education. 3. Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. 4. Financial need is not a consideration.

Awards: One (1) award $157.00. Students will receive half of their award in the fall and the remaining in the spring. A check will be paid directly to student Fiscal Services minus registration fees if applicable.

Charley Graham Chevrolet & Buick Endowment Scholarship 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must be a returning Palo Verde College Student or student graduating High School (GED or

Diploma) who will attend Palo Verde College for Fall 2020. 2. Student must be enrolled in at least 6 units to apply for scholarship. To receive scholarship,

student must be enrolled in at least 6 units for Fall 2020 3. Student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher 4. Demonstrate financial need, and have some past involvement /leadership in school, community or

church organized activities. Awards: One (1) award $163.00. Students will receive half of their award in the fall and the remaining in the spring. A check will be paid directly to student Fiscal Services minus registration fees if applicable.

Ohlinger- Walton Scholarship 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirments:

1. Must be a returning Palo Verde College student (main campus or Needles) or student graduating from Palo Verde High School, Twin Palms High School or Needles High School who will attend Palo Verde College for Fall 2020.

2. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 units for Spring 2020. 3. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Awards: Two (2) $150 awards. Students will receive half of their award in the fall and the remaining

in the spring. A check will be paid directly to student Fiscal Services to pay for registration fees minus registration fees if applicable.

Palo Verde Hospital Scholarship (Dr. David Brooks) 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must be an enrolled student in the Palo Verde College LVN Program. 2. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. 3. Preference given to Palo Verde Hospital employees currently in the programs.

Awards: One or more awards (up to a total of $1,336.00). Students will receive half of their award in the fall and the remaining in the spring. A check will be paid directly to student Fiscal Services minus registration fees if applicable.

Palo Verde College Foundation Scholarship 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must be a returning Palo Verde College student (main campus or Needles) or student

graduating from Palo Verde High School, Twin Palms High School or Needles High School who will attend Palo Verde College for Fall 2020. 2. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 units for Spring 2020. 3. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Awards: Multiple awards ranging from $200 to $1,500 (up to a total of $21,058.00). Students will receive half of their award in the fall and the remaining in the spring. A check will be paid directly to student Fiscal Services minus registration fees if applicable.

Palo Verde College Scholarship ? Needles Center 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must be a returning Palo Verde College student (main campus or Needles Center) or

student graduating from Palo Verde High School, Twin Palms High School or Needles High School who will attend Palo Verde College for Fall 2020. 2. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 units for Spring 2020. 3. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Awards: One award of $150 each. Students will receive half of their award in the fall and the remaining in the spring. A check will be paid directly to student Fiscal Services minus registration fees if applicable.

PVHS Class of 1967 Scholarships 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must have graduated from Palo Verde High School in the most recent (5) years. 2. Students must be enrolled in at least 9 units for Spring 2020 semester to apply for scholarship. 3. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0. 4. Preference given to students who have shown participation in community service or school

extracurricular activities. Awards: One or more awards (up to a total of $247.00). Students will receive half of their award in the fall and the remaining in the spring. A check will be paid directly to student Fiscal Services minus registration fees if applicable.

The Richard Willams Family Scholarship 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must be a returning Palo Verde College student (main campus) or a graduating Palo

Verde High School senior that is planning on attending Palo Verde College for Fall 2020. 2. Students must be enrolled in at least 12 units for Spring 2020. 3. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Awards: One or more scholarship awards (up to a total of $1,338.00). Students will receive half of their award in the fall and the remaining in the spring. A check will be paid directly to student Fiscal Services minus registration fees if applicable.

Union Bank of California Scholarships 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must be a returning Palo Verde College student (main campus or Needles) or student

graduating from Palo Verde High School, Twin Palms High School or Needles High School who will attend Palo Verde College for Fall 2020 2. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 units for Spring 2020. 3. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Awards: One or more awards (up to a total of $1,554.00). Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must have graduated from Palo Verde High School or is a PVC Blythe Student 2. Students must be enrolled in at least12 units for Fall 2020. 3. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5. 4. Students major must be an emphasis on Education/Teaching

Awards: One or more awards (up to a total of $224.00). Students will receive half of their award in the fall and the remaining in the spring. A check will be paid directly to student Fiscal Services minus registration fees if applicable.

Catholic Charities Scholarship 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must be a returning Palo Verde College student who will attend Palo Verde College for

Fall 2020. 2. Students must have completed at least 25 units in Automotive and/or Welding Technology

courses at Palo Verde College to apply for scholarship. To receive scholarship, student must be enrolled in at least 6 units for Spring 2020 semester. 3. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Awards: One (1) award of $500. Student will receive half of their award in the fall and the remaining in the spring. A check will be paid directly to student Fiscal Services minus registration fees if applicable.

Patricia Waltl Memorial Nursing Scholarships 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements:

1. Must be a returning Palo Verde College Student (Main Campus or Needles) or student graduation from High School.

Santana Rivera Memorial Nursing Scholarships 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements:

1. Must be a returning Palo Verde College Student (Main Campus of Needles) or student graduating from High School

2. Must be a current or former CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) student at Palo Verde College.

3. Must have a GPA of 2.0 or better 4. Must be enrolled in 12 units for Spring 2020 5. Must have income or socioeconomic challenges

Jerry Spechtenhauser Scholarships 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must be a returning Palo Verde College Student (Main Campus or Needles). 2. Must have a GPA of 4.0 or better 3. Must be enrolled in 12 units for Spring 2020 4. Formerly incarcerated student take preference 5. Must be returning to college to learn a second trade. 6. Laptop recipients are not eligible for this scholarship

Palo Verde College Umoja Scholarship 2019-2020

Scholarship Requirements: 1. Must be a returning Palo Verde College Student (Main Campus or Needles) or student
