Regulations of the selection process and awarding of two scholarships made available by the Chalhoub group for attendance of one Polimoda Seasonal Course in Fashion Brand Management, July 2020 edition and one Polimoda Seasonal Course in Sustainable Fashion (July 2020 edition ? Academic year 2019-2020)

Leading international luxury company Chalhoub Group Dubai generously offers two scholarships, one for attendance of the Polimoda Seasonal Course in `Fashion Brand Management' ? July 2020 summer edition, and one for the Polimoda Seasonal Course in `Sustainable Fashion' ? July 2020 summer edition, (hereinafter the "Polimoda Seasonal Courses"), for the purpose of favouring the emergence of new studies and ideas that serve as inspiration for creative, artistic and economic development in the interests of society with specific reference to the geographic regions of the GCC and Middle-East.

Each scholarship for Polimoda Seasonal Courses cover the entire tuition fee of 4.000,00. Please note that scholarship does not cover housing and living expenses or any other extras. Any extra expenses shall not be borne by Chalhoub.

Both Polimoda Seasonal Courses, which will be held in English, will be composed of classroom lessons and will begin on June 25th 2020 and will conclude by July 24th 2020.

The selected candidates must, in any case, have the visa/permit of stay required in order to attend the Polimoda Seasonal Courses.

Eligibility The selection process for the above mentioned scholarship is open to candidates resident in one of the following countries: GCC area (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman) or Middle-East region (Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Yemen, Jordan, Iran, Iraq), aged from 18 to 28 years old.

Students who are already enrolled in a Polimoda Master Course, Polimoda Undergraduate Course, Polimoda Associate Course or Polimoda Seasonal Course cannot participate in the selection process.

Selection process In order to participate in the selection process, candidates are required to complete the following steps:

It is intended that a candidate can only apply to one of the two scholarships.

Evaluation The selection for the assignment of the scholarship will be carried out at the sole discretion of an admission committee composed of the relevant Head of Education and two of the Course Leading Teachers (hereinafter "the admission committee"). The admission committee will draw up two rankings of the top candidates, one for each Polimoda Seasonal course (Polimoda Seasonal in Fashion brand Management and Polimoda Seasonal in Sustainable Fashion) related to a scholarship, taking into account their effective merits and interviews. The scholarships will be awarded to the two candidates listed at the top of each of the two rankings. In case of equal merit amongst the candidates, precedence will be given to the candidates who first submitted the application form. Once the admission committee has completed its process and chosen two candidates, it will inform Chalhoub who will confirm the selection.

Deadline and notifications

In order to participate in the selection process, candidates are required to apply for the scholarship no later than May 1st 2020. The result of the selection process will be announced no later than May 15th 2020. The selected candidates will have to give written confirmation to Polimoda of their intention to attend the course and accept the scholarship no later than May 17th 2020. Should the candidates listed at the top of the rankings forgo, or be unable to benefit from the scholarship for any reason, the scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the rankings working down the lists.

Polimoda reserves the right to amend the aforementioned deadlines. Based on the number of applications received, Polimoda also reserves the right to end the selection process in advance respect to the deadlines announced and to refuse further applications. Before the commencement of the Polimoda Seasonal Courses, the selected candidates must sign the course enrolment contract and the Polimoda Student Regulations relative to the programme for which the scholarship is assigned (please refer to the website ).

The aforementioned documents will be applicable to all the phases of the training programme and on the signature of these documents; the candidate is undertaking to fully comply with the relative provisions of the same.

The scholarships awarded to the selected candidates for attendance of the Polimoda Seasonal Courses in `Fashion Brand Management' and `Sustainable Fashion' will be subject to said courses being held. The courses in question will be held subject to the minimum number (as established by Polimoda's Management) of enrolments being reached and therefore making the course viable to run. Confirmation will be given to the selected candidates at least 15 (fifteen) days before the start of the courses, as to whether the minimum number of enrolments necessary to activate the course has been reached, and consequently the definite assignment of the scholarships.

Should the minimum number of enrolments for each of the Polimoda Seasonal Courses fail to be reached, the scholarships may be used by the selected candidates to cover the fee of another Seasonal course organised by Polimoda during the July 2020 edition. The most appropriate course will be identified by the Head of Education together with Chalhoub, taking into account the aptitude, personal predisposition and curriculum vitae of the candidate. Should a candidate refuse the alternative proposal decided by Polimoda and Chalhoub, he/she will automatically renounce to the scholarship.

In order to attend the Polimoda Seasonal Courses in `Fashion Brand Management' and in `Sustainable Fashion', the candidates that were awarded the scholarships may be requested, at his/her own expenses and full responsibility, to obtain a valid visa from Italian Authorities. Should a candidate fail, for any reason, to obtain the appropriate visa to attend the course, he/she will lose the right for the scholarship.

During the study program, and/or prior to its commencement and/or after its conclusion, selected candidates may also be invited by the Chalhoub Group for the Scholars Day event and/or another meeting or event organised by the Chalhoub Group. Visit costs (flight / hotel) are organised by the Chalhoub Group with the objective of being introduced to the company and the luxury industry in the Middle East. Should the Scholar's Day occur and/or another meeting or event organised by the Chalhoub Group, all related arrangements will be agreed upon directly between the selected candidate and Chalhoub with no involvement of Polimoda.
